Wait wat? I'm late to the party, why are people mad at Jenna Marbles? I thought she was of the few good genuine people on YouTube and actually does what her video titles say she's going to do??
Im not a fan nor a follower of Jenna so this is what i know for the news:
She made like 10 years ago a video doing blackface and i think a rap in which she was racist. So a couple of days ago she made a video saying she was going to take a time from Youtube to think about what she did, why she did it, saying she was sorry.
Now, before you ask "why now after 10 years people are bringing it up" that aint true. She said that NO ONE bullied her for that, it was a concious decisiom from her part about how bad she acted.
People arent mad at her tho. People are mad at white people defending Marbles, accepting her apology like their were the ones who were offended/mocked in the first place. People are angry at the fans saying it was "cancel culture" from black people that tool her away from Youtube, making whinning posts about how they have lost their only fun and that 2020 is ruined forever.
Marbles did something from her own volition, without coaction, trying to show a way to act correctly, and her fans, instead of learnings the whys and try to be better and understand why blackfacing is wrong, they just cry from the "wholesome videos" they lost, the content they wont get.
That's what people are angry for.
