FINALLY
DREAM PRINCE CORRIN!!!
Mikto and azura coming up next!!!
An update on several recent events:
First and foremost, the mortal who had previously rescued me alongside their dragon. They never gave me their own name or the name of the dragon, but they were kind enough to at least reveal that the beast was actually a Lunite that simply preferred to stay in its spirit form. The two of them travel the Dreamscape together. I have no idea how they knew I needed rescuing, or even where I was, but I am grateful for their assistance. They’ve since left for other Dreamstates, but I suspect I’ll see them again someday.
Next is the matter of Sapphire... I haven’t seen her since that night. However, I did remember our first meeting. It was many, many mortal years ago. I have no way of knowing how old my Waking Self was back then, but they were smaller than they are now. It was long before they knew of the Dreamscape and how it functioned. I remember it vaguely, but Sapphire was definitely there. It’s so hazy... I wish I knew what our relation was, and what led to our extended separation. I get an aching feeling that we were once very close friends...
And finally, our most common issue: the Midnites. As it always is, they have recently attempted to intrude on my group’s adventures. Once again, we encountered a Midnite we had never seen before. I can’t recall what they looked like, or what they were capable of, but I do remember that they were scary.
As we so often are, the Lunites and I were playing tag - this time out in a vast field with a small series of buildings nearby. Whenever one of us got tagged, we would shapeshift into a cute monstrous form to let the others know that we switched teams. My monster form was a pink pixie/imp-like creature. I was not the one to pick it out, as I do not possess the ability to transform myself. Vanity chose it for me, I believe!
At some point, the aforementioned Midnite came to crash the party. At first, we all hid inside the nearby buildings, in the hopes that they would go away. I personally did not want to have to face such a terrifying spirit. But they just wouldn’t leave... They ended up finding my hiding place inside a cabinet, so the Lunites jumped to my rescue and challenged my attacker. I think we won, because I remember seeing them flee the scene from where I had taken refuge.
I’ve noticed that Midnites always run away when they’re close to losing. It’s a very smart decision on their part, but it is rather annoying! We can’t possibly stop them for good if they continue to regroup like this.
The fight left several Lunites incapacitated, but they’ve since recovered. It is always such a wondrous and relieving sight to see them reform right before my very eyes.
My apologies for the brief period of silence! I have found that, recently, it has been more difficult to recall my adventures. I’m hoping that the foggy spell will fade soon enough! If not, well... you might have to wait longer. Perhaps I’ll find other things to talk about in the meantime! There is plenty to discuss~

The Lunites often tell me stories of things they've seen or done. They've taught me all about their kind, and I sometimes feel as if they see me as one of them. And last night, I was! ...Sort of.
One thing they've often bragged about is their ability to merge souls with each other. I have only ever seen specific pairs of Lunites do this, such as Nycto and Nocti, who refuse to combine with anyone else. I don't believe they have ever told me what this power is called, if anything at all. But I digress.
Last night, I discovered that this ability was within me, as well. I am convinced that Memento knew, and was simply waiting for the right moment, but I have no proof. It is just a hunch.
It was dark - abnormal for the average Dreamstate. Something was wrong. It is hard for me to recall the events post-fusion, but I know that Null attacked us. It's been quite some time since we last encountered them, and they were accompanied by several other Midnites, including the one with the massive spider spirit! It seemed that spiders were the theme of the night...
I remember feeling honoured when Memento asked me to fuse with them. I was worried that it wouldn't work, but I trusted them. And so, we merged! It was a thrilling experience, if not a bit terrifying and incredibly disorienting. I believe they did most of the work, though I'm sure they would make excuses for me and say that I helped somehow... Either way, it is obvious to me that I require a bit more trial and error with this. That was my first try - it would be unreasonable for me to expect perfection.
Practice makes progress, my friends! And practice I shall, until I can hold my own and contribute to any combination I may be a part of.

Last night, I met another mortal.
I swear I've seen her before... I believe her name was "Sapphire"? I remember her from somewhere. Have I dreamt of her before? In the distant past?
I don't think she recognized me. She kept running away, and her form would change in an attempt to hide herself. Do mortals have that kind of power? Or did she have help from a dream spirit of some kind?
I persisted, trying to get through to her, but I could sense that her attitude was becoming malicious. She wanted me to leave her alone. I feel bad, but it also seems to me that she may be in danger. Is she working with the Midnites? There is no way to know for sure - at least, not at the moment.
I was abruptly awoken by my Waking Self's partner, though I cannot blame him. He had no way of knowing what I was doing.
I hope to see Sapphire again, so that I may attempt to reach out to her and gain her trust. I don't know why she might be avoiding me... though I have a few ideas.

First and foremost, I want to apologize for worrying you all! It was foolish of me to wander off on my own, knowing full well that the potential danger had not yet passed. Thankfully, however, I was rescued by an outside force. Though it was a bit strange...
I was being held in a rather peculiar Dreamstate. It was reminiscent of a garage, or a warehouse of sorts. I was thoroughly interrogated by several Midnites, but one in particular took a shine to me. His body appeared to disassemble and reassemble at will, which he did often, presumably as a pastime. And his voice was... familiar. He was asking me all manner of questions, and my answers seemed to determine how he treated me. At first, he was condescending and downright disrespectful. But I must've gotten most of his questions right, because he very noticeably began to enjoy talking to me. He never approached me directly, though. He was on a screen, or behind a window. I couldn't tell which from the angle at which I was sat.
Time passed, and my Waking Self awoke. It took them some time to doze back off, but when I returned, I was met with a new face. A mortal, it seemed, had found their way into the Dreamstate in which I was being kept. I had never seen another mortal before - face-to-face, that is. It was obvious by the massive hole in the ceiling of the place, and the dragon (yes, an actual dragon) warding off the Midnites, that this mortal had come to save me.
I stood, hesitant, but my saviour quickly ushered me onto the back of the dragon. They made it clear that they weren't leaving without me, so I decided to cooperate. Scared as I was, they really did bring me home! They landed on the edge of the courtyard, in front of the throne room, and I invited them to stay a while.
There's a dragon in my palace! What an incredible night!

I haven’t left the Garden in a couple of nights now. I often do as I please or go where fate takes me - unless we have something important to do - but things have seemed.. off... lately. The others aren’t particularly on-edge, and it doesn’t seem as if they’re hiding anything from me, or anything of that sort. It just feels odd around my Dreamstate.
This happens on occasion, and if we happen to go out despite the heavy air, we tend to run into Midnites. Recently, during an “off” sort of night, I brought the others to a village setting and we played a mixture of “hide-and-go-seek” and “tag”. Is there a name for that? I feel as if there is. If you know the name of it, please tell me! I am rather curious.
Continuing my tale... We were playing this game, having a wonderful time, when suddenly an undocumented Midnite attacked us, with a small group of lesser dream spirits. This was the first new Midnite we had encountered - the other two came on later nights. This one... they were scary. Their most powerful ally was a hefty, spider-like dream spirit that they rode on as it chased us. We did manage to chase them away, but it was frightening! I am not a fighter! I thought it would skewer me, for certain...
A few nights later, we tried playing the game again, and yet another new Midnite accosted us! The absolute nerve! I believe we all had a silent agreement to take a break from games after that...
Which leads us back to now. At least three nights have gone by since then, and we have been waiting here. At this point, I think we all may simply be waiting for the feeling to pass. Should it continue, however, I will bring up the issue with the others directly so we can discuss our next steps.

I often overhear my Waking Self referring to things using varying terms and phrases. I'm quite used to it, as Lunite language and terminology is ever-changing and constantly evolving, but hearing it from a mortal is a curious thing.
In particular, I have noticed the alteration between the words "wonderland" and "paracosm" when they refer to the spiritual plane inside of their soul. I've looked into the definitions of both terms, and it seems to me that the latter is lesser-known, which could be a perfect explanation on its own as to why they alternate. Perhaps "wonderland" is only used as a way to help people understand the situation a little better. That is my personal theory.
