You don't have to be pretty. You don't owe prettiness to anyone. Not to your boyfriend/spouse/partner, not to your co-workers, especially not to random men on the street. You don't owe it to your mother, you don't owe it to your children, you don't owe it to civilization in general. Prettiness is not a rent you pay for occupying a space marked 'female.'

Oh, they're killing it with the dessert aesthetics. Picture-perfect cinematography, worthy of a high-budget movie. Just wanted to screencap this whole desert sequence! They also did great designing the desert city and everyone's attire change.

Don't want to say anything about the plot at this point because the foreshadowing is heavy in this one XD It's like a storm brewing in the distance and you can already feel the crispy air getting filled with the smell of ozone, promising a heavy shower or maybe a tornado.

Aesthetically-wise it's a feast for the eyes :3 But I'm still asking (the screenwriters, probably) just why, oh why do they have to go to the evil guys' den when they now have each other and can just go do some less stabby trading and maybe have some kids along the way?

It appears Yan Zijing isn't all about revenge, he also has a bigger picture in mind - like saving people from the bandits and not letting anyone else suffer his fate. Which is admirable, but I'd rather he chose to make himself and his woman happy (yeah it's selfish, but also - not really). What can I say - PRIORITIES.

Let's enjoy some pretty desert shots while we're waiting for the hailstorm or whatever is coming to hit us hard (I'm not watching any episode trailers to save my heart from premature damage XD)

The indoor scenes are also so-so pretty. I really appreciate what the stylists, decorators, and other designers are doing here.
