Sasuke just gave him a scowl over his shoulder, Naruto scrambled to his feet again not wanting to look even more like an idiot on the ground when suddenly an explosion was heard and large rocks where being sent out flying toward them at fast speeds. Naruto could only gasp he couldn’t even move he was so frozen suddenly a hand was in front of him and knocked one out of the way. It was Sasuke, of course, Naruto scoffed, “Don’t protect me Teme!”

“Don’t space out Baka.”

It was drawing to a close when Sakura suddenly was the one to notice something but she was on the other side of the battle field. The enemy had started adding Kunai to their rock flow since Sasuke started burning their material, it was hard to defelect hot burning Kunai that may or may not have a paper bomb attached to it so fire was out of the question.

Sakura was running toward them and she took down one with one of her super punches –Naruto’s cheek hurt at the thought- to his back and he crumbled down the other one was rushing toward her though. Naruto’s legs were already in motion as he tackled her down his hand going right behind her head in time to catch a Kunai that would have went through her skull. He yelled out in pain but covered her as Kakashi was let out of the Jutsu holding him to take down the last person.

After all was said and done the enemies tied up and Anbu had arrived they were on their way back with Kakashi carrying Sakura who was passed out from her unexpected huge power punch and hit to the head as they fell.

“If you hadn’t fallen on her, she would probably be awake.”

“Shut up! I was saving her! Unlike you mister I can’t do anything if I’m not spitting fire!”

“At least I did something you were just dodging kunai till the end.” Sasuke’s eyes flittered down to the hand on Naruto that had been stabbed it was very poorly dressed since it was Naruto’s bad hand that had to wrap the good one. Though Naruto’s entire body was covered in scratches they were minor the one on his hand was still dripping blood now.

God how he hated that smooth and calm face, stupid bastard needed to learn to show emotion. Even in battle and now sizing up Naruto as Sasuke himself had maybe one or two bruises on himself. Stupid cocky chicken ass head of an Uchiha, Naruto scowled but kept seeing Sasuke’s eyes drift down to his badly hurt hand probably teasing Naruto in his chicken ass head. “What the hell are you staring at!?”

“Cheh. Just a loser.”

“What! What the hell you say you asshole! I’ll make you take that back, dattebayo!”

“Are you deaf as well as stupid?”

“Are you! Gah!”

“That doesn’t even make sense baka!”

Kakashi sighed and turned around with a forced grin under his mask, “Boys as much as I love hearing you fight and whine and flirt,” He got a yell from both of them but continued on like nothing, “We are in firre country now so you should be fine I’m going on ahead see you soon.” He jumped up into the trees quickly making his way back.

“Who just leaves there students alone!”

“He probably just wanted to get away from your stupidity.”

“Argh! You.. You have stupid hair.”

Sasuke balked but scowled lightly at him, “I do not. You have stupid.. stupid eyes!” Right. As if.

“Stupid clothes!”

“Stupid whiskers!” Another lie.

“Stupid face.” Naruto grumbles. Sasuke moved over to him and quietly picked up his hand, Naruto glared and started tugging his hand away but Sasuke kept a firm grip on his wrist as he unwound the badly put clothe, “Hey what are you doing teme! That took forever to do!”

“Stupid mouth.” He said offhandedly, he knew being this close if he glanced up to see such lips his mind would go wild. Stupid emotions. He thought to himself.

Naruto grumbled quietly, “Stupid voice.”

“Stupid nose.”

Sasuke quietly and efficiently rewrapped the wound correctly and more securely leaving his fingers maybe to leave seconds to long sometimes before moving on. Naruto watched him quietly for a moment, Teme was so weird sometimes he got like this and got this weird look in his eyes. It was there now, the closest thing Naruto could match it with was concern but even then it didn’t cover the full look and he didn’t want to ask and seem like an idiot so he just watched trying to figure it out. He even had the look mesmerized to think on when he got bored, not that he thought about the teme that often! Naruto got a light blush and scoffed out, “Stupid head.” He wasn’t sure who he said that too.

“Baka.. you get hurt too easily,” he said running his fingers across the bandage one last time before letting it go, “And too much watch yourself….. dumbass.” Before turning around to shove his hands in his pockets as his fingers tingled with the feel of Naruto’s skin that would linger he hoped for a while.

Naruto was stunned for a bit his hand warm as he looked at Sasuke back hearing faintly, “Come on stupid slow ass.”

He was back, “Stupid teme!”
