Quote 57 - A says it to B after taking a life for the first time, and after B died (and came back) and A blamed herself for it, when she feels like her life is spinning out of control and she's lost the one thing she thought she had, her capability and command of the station. And in all this uncertainty, the one thing she trusts, the one thing she can hold onto... is B. B, whose death tore her apart. B kinda already knew it wasn't something they were going to make it back from, but A still had hope for a return journey up until the end. Here, faced with that end that they can't return from, all B can feel is relief that it's over, and while A feels that too, he's also mourning the life he's given up for this. B then says this, a show of gratitude for everything A has done for him and that despite everything else that's happened he isn't alone in this.

Quote 59 - This quote comes from a part in their character stories where A is going to leave out of fear he's going to hurt B when/if his powers get out of control. It convinces A to stay because there's nothing he wants more in life than to be needed.

Quote 68 - This is from the first time they really team up and work together. It's also the quote they used for the official wedding ring merch because it's literally a proposal

Quote 43 - A sacrificed literally everything to bring B back to life and also to bring him to peace. They literally saved the world with the power of love together like idk

Quote 50 - CONTEXT: A is a spirit, so unless he gets exorcised, he cannot die and also can’t age, while B is a human and very much does. The situation is a little horrifying yeah, but also fits in the ‘basically-a-confession’ category as well. Also we find out later on that this wasn’t even a heat of the moment thing for him- he still wants (or at least wants A to ask him) to die so they can be together forever.

Quote 74 - For all of B's life, he's been told that the only thing he's good for is his suffering. All his abilities, all his skills, all that he is can only be unlocked with his raw pain. As an adult, that's now the only thing that fuels him. He's leaned into this idea of being a ball of rage because he doesn't know how else to behave. Enter A. A sees B as a whole person, not just for his abilities. And A doesn't run away from the darkness in B's mind; he accepts it. He encourages B to embrace all facets of himself, including the positive memories that B thought were lost. B hadn't been treated this kindly since he was a child, and now here is A, understanding him --- and not just that, but LOVING him, just as he is.
