Home Nursing 1: Anatomy and Physiology Parts 1 and 2

Hi all,

Some people were asking for this in video form because the PowerPoint with original audio wasn't downloading from Google Drive, and if you were on mobile looking at this from Google Slides it wasn't even giving you the transcript.

About 40 years ago, lay (home) nursing quietly disappeared from common knowledge. I'm trying to bring it back. This is a course of about 10 presentations designed for someone who wants to learn more about lay nursing care for themself or loved ones.

Currently, the plan is for the following lessons:

Pre-Home-Nursing

Basic Anatomy and Physiology

Basic Nutrition

Common Illnesses, Injuries, and Conditions

Basic Assessment Skills

Home Nursing:

Adaptive Activities of Daily Living

Found out that I’m going to be able to apply to the nursing program in spring! I am killing it in my classes right now. All I have left is 20 more credits of classes winter quarter then I’m done with my prereqs! Hopefully I’ll be a first year nursing student in the fall!

Feeling so stressed right now. I screwed up and missed an assignment in my nutrition class. Now it looks like I'm going to end up with an A-. So instead of a 4.0 this quarter I'll only get a 3.9. I feel like I failed everything.
