Four years ago I did my first Flufftober and it was much fun, I had chosen some missing moments/spin off from my already published fics, which means different pairings.
Then I lacked inspiration for trying again, but not this year, when just a single ship (Joe/Bronte or Goldery, as I love calling them <3 ) from a single fandom ('YOU') made me want to write every single possible thing about them!!
So, here's the list I made, thanks to the wonderful @flufftober 2025, with some edits:

Kara sits by Lena's bedside. It's agony, seeing her best friend suffer-- suffering a pain that should have been Kara's to endure. All she can do is stare at Lena's face, tight with discomfort even in sleep, and try to find some measure of solace in the rise and fall of her friend's chest.
She's not the only one to visit Lena, but she's the only one to stay. The second time Alex comes to visit, it's more for Kara's sake than Lena's. She brings food and an overnight bag, correctly anticipating that Kara would be staying the night. The bag of takeout sits on the floor beside Kara's chair, uneaten, and the bag of toiletries is gripped tightly on her lap.
Kara stares at it sightlessly, fighting the tears threatening to spill over even now. Alex reaches over to clasp her shoulder. When Kara doesn't pull away, Alex rubs it gently.
"She's going to pull through," she says with quiet conviction.
Kara doesn't respond, just continues to stare at the bag in her lap. Her lips pull against the tears, and when she finally closes her eyes, the tears spill forth only to be quickly dashed by a rough hand. Kara breathes sharply, lifting her head to blink at the lights overhead.
"You know," she says thickly, "even when we were fighting... I was able to take comfort in the fact that she was still-- okay. Even if she couldn't be mine, she was there. Alive. Healthy."
Kara swallows audibly. Alex waits for her to continue.
"If I listened hard enough, I could even hear her heart beat." Her head lowers once more, her wobbly vision focusing on the zipper of her bag. "I don't-- I don't know what I'd do if I listened and-- and couldn't hear her anymore."
She chokes back a sob, leaning into her sister's embrace when Alex's arms reach for her. Only then does she start to cry in earnest, unable to hold back the tears once they start.
"It's going to be okay," Alex reassures her, rubbing soft circles on Kara's back. "Lena's tough. And stubborn as hell. It's going to take more than this to keep her down."
"She's right," says a croak from the bed.
Kara jolts upright, swiftly drying her eyes before Lena can see-- though she knows it's too late. Still, when Lena extends her hand for Kara's, Kara is there to give it, holding on as fiercely and as gently as she can.
"I'm not dying today," Lena says hoarsely. She blinks sleepily, still fighting to keep herself awake. She forces her eyes open and focuses on Kara's gaze. "I'm not going anywhere."
With a weak smile, Kara nods. "Okay." Before she can think not to, she reaches out to stroke Lena's hair with the hand not holding Lena's. "Rest now, all right?"
Already, Lena's eyes are beginning to slam. "Stay?"
Kara nods, pressing a kiss to Lena's pale fingers.
The sun had just set as Eivør's ship, the Silfrormr or silver serpent, came sliding up the Nene towards Ravensthorpe. Once she reached the docks, the crew set about tying her off and unloading their spoils from the monastery raid. Eivør aided in the task, carrying things, and directing where others ought to be taken. It had been a rather profitable journey, but she didn't expect to have to raid again for some time if the settlement kept growing at its current rate. They'd already built numerous buildings and were drawing some trade folk, including a baker, to their fledgling town.
Silfrormr docked and relieved, Eivør was free to set about her business. Chief of which would be reporting the takings to Randvi, but first she intended to visit Hytham. Before the raid, she had meant to stop in and speak with him but had been sidetracked, leaving no time in the end. So, Randvi could wait a short time while Eivør delivered the medallion to her southern friend.
Her walk from the dock up to the Hidden One's Bureau was pleasant. A cool early evening breeze swept through Ravensthorpe stirring Eivør's cloak slightly as she walked. The wind held a small chill and prompted her to draw the cloak more tightly to her body to preserve some warmth. It wasn't needed for long, though as she reached her destination swiftly. After a single knock at the door, Eivør entered the building, not bothering to announce herself further. At a desk sat Hytham with papers spread out before him which were illuminated by the light of a few candles -a reserved smile spread across his face at the sight of her.
"Eivør, you've returned," he said. "Have you brought any news?"
"Always listening for whispers, huh?" She teased lightly.
Hytham's expression relaxed some. "It is the nature of my charge, you know."
Eivør nodded in agreement. "I have brought something. Though it is not news."
Hytham waited silently for her to continue.
Setting down the sack she carried, Eivør rifles through it before producing a silver medallion. The markings on it meant little to her beyond the knowledge they symbolized the strange Order Hytham and Basim's people were aligned against. She placed it on the desk in front of him.
"I meant to bring it to you after Grantebridge, but we left so soon after."
Hytham reached out a hand to run his fingers over the etching.
Eivør tilted her head somewhat as she spoke on. "The slimy wort who captured the city, for a time, was wearing it when I killed him..."
The words broke whatever trance Hytham had briefly been under as he looked alert again when his eyes turned on her.
"So he was...well." Hytham straightened in his seat. "I thank you for bringing it to me."
After Hytham brought her to the hill and showed her the Hidden One's leap of faith, it felt as though they were almost like friends, but a slight sense of awkwardness filled the silence following his thanks. Eivør was not often lost for words. Regardless, she was not wholly sure whether to simply accept his gratitude and excuse herself or not. He had seemed miles away just a moment ago and his words seemed like a passive dismissal if ever she heard one.
"Was there something else?" Asked Hytham in the way of breaking the sudden stillness.
Eivør shrugged a shoulder. "Everyone will be eating soon."
He nodded.
"Do you not join the feasts?" Eivør asked.
Hytham appraised her a moment before answering in a kind manner. "While I am used to the boisterousness by now, I still find I often prefer the quiet."
It was Eivør's turn to nod then. "Can I bring anything down to you?"
A flicker of surprise passed over Hytham's placid face.
"Just because you wish to avoid the rowdiness does not mean you should not enjoy a hearty meal," Eivør reasoned.
"You need not trouble yourself," he replied, having quickly recovered himself. "I have a small store here."
She waved a dismissive hand as though brushing his protest aside. "It is no trouble."
Hytham hesitated a moment. "Some chicken then...and perhaps bread if it is fresh."
"I'll return shortly." Eivør smiled broadly.
At the longhouse, she ran into Randvi, who greeted her happily with congratulations on a successful raid though she did note there hadn't been any doubt in her mind it would be. Laughing, Eivør thanked her. They spoke for a short time about how things had been at Ravensthorpe while she was away. Not much of note had occurred, Ceolbert still sat in on her meetings daily, and she had settled a minor disagreement between a few locals just the other day. When Eivør made to excuse herself, Randvi interjected to question about their take.
"I haven't had the time to take inventory just yet," Eivør replied.
Randvi nodded her understanding. "In the morning then?"
"In the morning, I'll meet you." Eivør patted her friend on the shoulder.
She then made quick work of fetching a platter for Hytham, piling on several slices of warm bread and half a chicken. In addition, she was sure to snag two horns of ale on her way out of the hall despite being sure he had some of his own. The journey back to Hytham's bureau was not so swift as it had been up to the longhouse. With the food and ale, Eivør had to move more carefully, paying particular attention to where she set her feet. When she arrived, she was grateful to find the door slightly ajar and so nudged it open with her foot.
Hytham was still seated at his desk though he stood speedily at the sight of her, taking the platter. Eivør thanked him as she set down the ale horn cups a safe distance from his papers. Curiosity pricked her just then; Eivør took a rare peek at what he was working on and was not surprised to see only the odd unintelligible letters which made up his native language. She wondered vaguely if he was writing to Basim but did not ask.
"This is far too much food for one man," Hytham commented. "And two horns."
A slight mischievous smirk bloomed at the corner of Eivør's lips. "Perhaps, I found the hall a tad too boisterous tonight?"
Hytham arched a curious brow at her.
"I can retire to my room, though, if you do not wish for company."
"No, no, stay," he replied quickly. "I was only somewhat surprised at the suggestion."
Eivør nodded, watching as he pulled up an additional chair. She took it, and they were both seated.
"That I should wish to be away from the hall?"
Hytham shook his head. "No, that you would prefer to spend your time with me."
"You can not be alone all the time." She frowned slightly, bringing the horn to her lips.
Darkness clouded his features. "To be of my order is to often be alone." He paused, and the heaviness lifted some. "It is not so bad most of the time."
"And the rest of the time?" Eivør set her ale down, watching Hytham intently as he began picking pieces off the chicken.
He heaved a sigh. "If I am honest...it is somewhat lonely."
Eivør hummed in response. They were both silent for a time as they ate and drank at a leisurely pace. It was a different, more peaceful silence than before. Hytham seemed in no hurry to break it, so she hesitated to speak.
"When the silence grows lonely." Eivør began finally. "You could seek me out -if you wish."
He surveyed her again with that look of hardly concealed surprise.
"I appreciate that, Eivør." The smile that spread on his lips was genuine.

Maybe some pre-agentcorp from last episode? What if Reign broke out before Supergirl got back with the black rock? Lena being concerned when she hears about attempts on Alex’s life? Alex being concerned about Lena alone with Reign?
This is like, four different story ideas, so I wasn’t able to fill all of them. Hopefully hitting two of them is okay….
Lena’s heart plummets when her finger presses the button– and continues to drop when the overdose does nothing more but make Reign smirk. The smirk grows wider as Reign’s eyes start to glow. Alarms sound as a blast of heat vision slams into the forcefield, expending more energy than Lena’s yet recorded.
Lena has less than a second to press the panic button installed by the DEO before the field gives way. Agents immediately fire, but their ammunition does nothing to slow her down. She could murder Lena in a blink. Instead she stalks slowly forward under fire, savoring Lena’s fear. She is afraid. Her heart pounds, and races in her chest. But Lena stares Reign down, and reaches blindly for her keyboard. Two keystrokes, and banshee protocol activates with a piercing wail. While the volume pounds uncomfortably against Lena’s eardrums, Reign shrieks in agony, slamming both hands over her ears.It won’t stop her, not for long. But it does slow her down.“You can run,” Lena snarls, voice lost in the chaos. “You can kill me. But you won’t win.”“We’ll see about that!”With a roar, Reign rakes the room with a long burst of heat vision. Lena flinches against the shower of sparks and debris that cascade down on her. Lena doesn’t have the chance to notice the sirens die out before the room tilts in a blur. The next thing she knows, Lena’s breath is knocked out of her and strangled by an inhuman hand around her throat.Lena kicks her feet against empty air. Reign leans in close, inhaling deeply against the side of Lena’s neck. “Someone owes me a spine,” she growls, lips curling in a cruel smirk.“I don’t think so.”There’s a whine and then an explosion of red light silhouetting Reign’s outline. Reign barely staggers, but her attention pulls away from Lena to Alex Danvers, kitted out and fully armed. “You.”“Me.”Alex fires again. Lena feels the grip on her throat shift before being tossed like a ragdoll. Then there’s nothing but darkness.
When consciousness returns, Alex’s concerned features are the first thing Lena sees. “Sam…” Lena struggles to rise, but the pounding in her head and Alex’s gentle but firm hand on her shoulder sends her back down. “Alex, what happened–?”“She’s alive,” Alex assures her. “But… gone. She’s gone.”“But– Supergirl?”Alex shakes her head. “Nothing yet.”Lena drops her head back with a curse, angry tears burning at her eyes. Alex waits with her as a medical team arrives, and evaluates her. A security sweep soon follows, and Lena spends the next half hour fighting them and a growing migraine.“I don’t require the DEO’s assistance in resecuring my own lab, Director,” she growls. “You can take your team and–”“Oh-kay,” Alex cuts in, before Lena can land herself in a DEO cell. “Time to go home.”Lena digs her heels in until the Director agrees to quarantine the lab instead of sweeping it clean. No one in or out until she is well enough to personally supervise the recovery team. But when Alex finally gets her in a car, it’s not the Baldwin she drives to.“No way in hell I’m leaving you unsupervised,” Alex snaps. “That’s how many head injuries this year?”Lena can’t give her an answer. Somewhere between Cordova Street and Alex’s apartment, Lena drifts out of consciousness. Alex only shakes her awake when they reach their destination. Ruby doesn’t wake when Lena stumbles inside the apartment. The sight of the sleeping girl nearly sends Lena into hysterics. She failed. She failed. She failed, she failed, she failed…Failed Sam. Failed Ruby. Failed everyone. Alex takes her by the arm and guides her to the bedroom. She hands Lena an old t-shirt and a pair of soft sleeping pants before prompting her into the bathroom. Lena fumbles for several minutes at her zipper before she re-emerges unchanged. “Lena? What’s wrong?”“I, uh…” Lena’s vision clouds, this time with sudden, brimming tears rather than concussion. “My zipper, I can’t…”A sob coughs out of her, sharp and sudden. When she blinks, tears spill down her cheeks. Lena wipes them away, but not before Alex sees. Alex doesn’t say anything, but swallows thickly.“That’s okay. Turn around.”With gentle fingers she tabs the zipper down. Slowly, the dress parts, releasing Lena and another shuddering breath. Lena stands there, spine chilling in the cold even as her shoulders heat under Alex’s gaze. Alex clears her throat. “You’re good." Lena can barely find the breath for a whisper. "Thank you.”She stumbles back into the bathroom and manages to change the rest of the way on her own. When she exits again, Alex has also changed into something more comfortable. The bedcovers are already pulled back invitingly, beckoning to Lena’s pounding head. “I inserted a tracking device,” she blurts. Words tumble out of her, uninvited and unbidden. “After the attack on the mansion, I weakened her enough to insert a tracking device. We can find her. If she’s anywhere on the planet, we can find her…”Alex offers her a thin smile. “But not tonight.”She pats the bed beside her, but Lena doesn’t budge. She needs to do something, working. The fight isn’t over. “Not tonight,” Alex repeats. Her voice is gentle, but it lifts the hairs on the back of Lena’s neck. If only Alex knew… if only she knew that Lena pressed that button, with full expectation that Sam would perish too. “You can’t save the world if your brain stays scrambled,” Alex continues. “Rest, and tomorrow we’ll keep going.”Lena doesn’t know why she finally obeys. She doesn’t know where Sam is or what they’re going to do when they find her. She doesn’t know how she’s going to tell Ruby that they lost her mom. All she knows when the lights click off is that the fight’s only just begun.
