i bet some people might have been wondering why elsibeth has an 8-letter name instead of a 6-letter one, and theres actually a reason behind it! i have a headcanon that ancestors choose the names of their descendants, and that sometimes as a last-ditch effort they will give their descendant a 8-letter name instead of a 6-letter one so others would mistake the descendant for an ancestor, and seeing as ancestors tend to be stronger and have more of an impact, they will be less likely to be picked on/attacked as a kid. elsibeth was SUPPOSED to be named elsibé, but her ancestor, the mersiful gloriosa, knew that since elsi was about to be the last limeblood on the planet (when elsi was hatched, limebloods were being slaughtered by purplebloods), she would need whatever protection she could get, so that's kind of the only thing her ancestor could provide her. i guess it worked because elsibeth is mistaken for an acestor both because of her name and also her height all the time! just thought you all might want to know the reason behind her name!
