Once upon a time, a business mentor (my uncle) told me something that moved me. He said, "You're going to be surprised at what you're really capable of." I thought that's awesome! It's easy for me to identify with my limits. The place I made it to with my best effort. The place where I could go no further. I think my uncle was saying my current idea of where my limits are is a bit foolish. It's defined on incomplete data.Β With deeper insight and understanding there will be breakthroughs.Β Whenever there are setbacks, losses, or challenges, there are opportunities. Usually you get the opportunity to see the power curve(80/20 rule) of the situation.Β You see the variables allowing you to apply 20% effort to produce 80% results. It's probably because when you faced the challenge you were on the wrong side of this curve. I knew this, but I needed a reminder. I think he was being honest and genuine when he said it and I felt complimented. Although he was talking about me, I think his insight comes with a lifetime of watching business people and people in general... my uncle is a wise old bird. I love the idea that I will be surprised by my own capacity. It's just cool. It's like I can almost sense it under the surface... in the depths somewhere... and it's coming.Β ππππ #capability #capacity #potential #surprises #powercurves #80/20 #marketing #quotes #business #smallbusiness #entrepreneur #sales #advertising #socialmedia #startup #contentmarketing #growthhacking #success #ecommerce #branding
