Idaho now has an official state dinosaur, and a friend jokingly called it a potatosaurus

Saw @astrid-aesthetic​ do this and it’s so cute I had to do it too!!  I will literally just be picking songs dependent on whatever comes first to my head because I can’t be bothered to pick something especially poignant or meaningful.  We shall see if any themes develop

So this song list is now the soundtrack for my entire blog, I think the main theme that can be drawn from it is probably that i am basically bonkers, which is true, and that a song doesnt have to be in a language that i can understand for it to be enjoyable as proven by the presence of German, Spanish and Korean music up there

1. potatosaurusi or potatosauruses (or occasionally potatosaurusesi, all plural forms are correct) live mainly in barren dirt areas where the climate is mostly wet and rainy. they are native to ireland and mainland britain where the potato has been deified for centuries and a potato is the official head of state.  the main difference between the common british potatosaurus and the french potatosaurus is that the french pommedeterresaurus wears a beret and its call sounds like a grumbling “honhonhonhonhon.”  The Russian potatosaurus has been hunted to near extinction for its valuable flesh, which can be distilled into alcohol.  Some potatosaurusesi were taken to America and a large colony has been established in Florida, where they are at home with their close cousins, the alligators, and frolic in the swamps.  Sadly some potatosauri are kept captive in poor conditions for the benefit of the curly fry industry.

4. potatosauri are gentle and docile creatures who like to befriend humans.  their teeth on close inspection are actually made of a sort of felt-like material and are thus utterly useless for eating and self defense.  they absorb water and nutrients from the soil to grow big, from small babby new potatosauri to mature potatosauri good for mashing, which brings me to our next question

5. the megapotatosauri are potatosauruses that have grown big.  very big.  it is said a megapotatosaurus was the inspiration for the fictional Godzilla.  a normal potatosaurus is more like the size of two oxen standing side by side with a third one balanced between their shoulders.  the megapotatosauri do not mean to terrorise towns but like people so they gravitate towards them.  some world hunger activists are waiting anxiously for the emergence of a new megapotatosaurus for its flesh could feed millions.  however i hope they will not kill the megapotatosaurus.  it is a majestic creature who only wants to be loved.  it makes sad betrayed noises like “ahh, ahh :’(” when you hit it

some bonus potatosaurus trivia: potatosauruses in the middle ages were often mistaken for potatodragons, which has shaped European lore.  like sloths they are unable to change their facial expression and have an eternally vacant and dumb look on their faces which some people find adorable.  there is debate in the scientific community as to what extent potatosauri are dinosaurs and to what extent they are vegetables; it is most commonly accepted that they are potatoes with dinosaur qualities rather than dinsoaurs with potato qualities, but not all agree.  its scientific name is tuberosumsaurus rex.  potatosauri like hugs and singing and being read bedtime stories.
