Friday 14th July 2017: Before flying home this afternoon we managed to catch the Irish Famine Exhibition at Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre. It was such a great exhibition, really informative and it opened my eyes to what my ancestors had to endure all those years ago. It’s heartbreakingly sad and truly unbelievable how so many Irish lives were lost through starvation due to being completely abandoned by the British government when they so desperately needed help.
