Millions of years ago God created a creature whom evolved into man. Over the years man evolved to adapt the personality of evil. Jackson knew evil in the form of not only an Original vampire, but a hybrid; Klaus Mikaelson was half original vampire and half werewolf. Jackson was eery of the hybrid, not because he was fearful or intimidated but because of Klaus' plan to turn Jackson's pack from werewolves to hybrids with the use of his blood - this was definitely something that Jackson would not allow happen. Bid night had already caused Jackson to loose six of his wolves and he refused to loose any more. The alpha knew that as a race we are born believing; Jackson grew up in the world believing that anything was possible if you put your mind to it. Before his mother passed she spoke the words to Jackson, "a man bares beliefs, as a tree bares apples; for as long as those apples grow on those trees Jack, never loose hope, never loose faith and never stop believing!" Jackson refused to loose hope in his pack, and he would never stop fighting for them... He would never stop defending them.

Jackson shook his head, looking across the lake, the moon shining down upon him. The rustles of voices behind him were tedious to Jackson. He was hurt, he was pissed off and he felt like this was his fault. It is the night after bid night; and the night surely was a strange one for the alpha. The night contained so much pleasure for Jackson, but also so much grief. He finally confessed his love to Hayley; she is his best friend but Jackson has always longed for more. But of course, Jackson knew better than to know that with the good the bad shortly follows. News has spread that not everyone made it out alive, and Jackson was not happy that he lost six members of his pack.
