Postbinary is an identity from postgenderism - a social , political and cultural movement which arose from the eroding of the cultural , psychological , and social role of gender , and an argument for why the erosion of binary gender will be liberatory , which argues that the presence of gender roles , social stratification , and gender differences is generally to the detriment of individuals and society - for someone that doesn't has a gender , and doesn't agree with the concept of gender being imposed on them .
It is based of this postgenderism flag .
These are the meanings assigned to each colour :
White : peace and culture
Orange :freshness, creativity , and positivity
Yellow : inspiration and energy
Green : a new beggining
Black : liberation and freedom
The circle with the equal symbol inside represents gender roles having little bearing on how people actually act or should be treated in society ; and also deemphasization of gender roles , as they are mostly used to stratify people .
