Thuggory: What do you think of letting me hand-pick those who fought alongside us in the War into the Companions of the Dragonmark?
Hiccup: Sure, go ahead. I assume you'll be picking those who fought alongside you in Prison Darkheart?
Thuggory: Yes. In fact, all of the Young Warriors who fought with me had joined me onto your side.
Hiccup: Good. Make sure you only pick loyal and experienced Warriors who have good relationships with their dragons. Of course, if they don't have Dragon Companions, don't overlook them. Just create a new unit within the Companions who'll be part of my naval retinue.
Thuggory: Understood, Hiccup.
Hiccup: Oh, and don't exclude those who fought under Alvin the Treacherous. Many of them fought out of desperation rather than true loyalty. However, pick only those who are honorable and experienced, regardless of their previous allegiances and the Tribe they're from.
Thuggory: But obviously exclude the Uglithugs, Outcasts, Murderous, Hysterics, and Berserks, right?
Hiccup: Correct. It would be problematic if any of them entered our service. I don't want to lose my life, after all.
Thuggory: Good call, Hiccup. I mean "Your Majesty"!
Can you imagine Fishlegs writing a love letter to Barbara the Barbarian and then her father finds out about it and because Fishlegs is a Royal he has to fulfill an Impossible Quest, and then Hiccup finds out and is furious because he had TOLD him and TOLD him and TOLD him REPEATEDLY to NOT write Barbara any love letters! So then they go on yet ANOTHER Quest, all the sake of love. (Fishlegs will never live this one down. He owes Hiccup his first-born child and his own soul for all the drama Fishlegs puts Hiccup through. lol XD)
The love business is definitely a DANGEROUS business. And a bad, bad business. *Shakes head solemnly*
