#post surgery stuff

Also I am so god damn sick of medical tape. Both having to pull it off that little crook where your arm and chest meet. And just the excess adhesive that takes ages to get off. 😫

I’m also still working on trying to get a hole to close under my arm, cause until it closes fluid leaks out of there and it’s a pain in the ass.

it's been a month since surgery and i still have to sleep on my back.  if i try to roll over i have excruciating pain in my neck.  it hurts getting out of bed too.  not nearly as bad as before, but it still hurts.  i usually have to spend a good few minutes mentally preparing myself to sit up and roll out of bed.

i was reading forum posts online and some people said it took up to 6 months before the pain went away :\  although a lot of the people who said that had had bypass surgery not a valve replacement like i did.  in both surgeries they have to open up your ribcage (that's what fucks up your back/neck/sholders), but maybe it took them that long to recover b/c they were out of shape before surgery.  idk i really hope it doesn't take that long
