“She is family,” Breha said.

“At the very least, she deserved prison,” Ferus said.

“She is family,” Breha repeated softly.

“You could be putting yourself in danger,” Ferus said. “They could track her down. They could still use her.”

“If I make a mistake, I’d rather do it on the side of forgiveness,” Bail said.

To this, Ferus had no answer. The Holocron burned inside his tunic and he knew what the voice would say. It is foolish not to destroy your enemies. Foolish and cowardly.

But Ferus looked with his heart at Bail and Breha, and thought they were among the bravest people he'd ever known. 

I caught up to the guy, trapped him beside a cliff, pulled him out in a grand theft auto - and this dude went tumbling down the cliff, got up, and proceeded to just stand there awkwardly.

So I decided to take a bunch of selfies with him; the guy looks so done.

When I finished, I went back up the cliff and the guy said, "Fuck it, I'm getting my car back." Dude starts driving and the vehicle tumbles down the cliff, getting stuck mid-way.

So I took more selfies with the guy. I tried to kick the car off the cliff, but the police showed up, so I had to just leave him there. Poor dude is probably still stuck in an infinite loop of trying to drive off of the cliff.

The group carefully wrapped their comrade up in a blanket before agreeing that they were too close to turn back now. The walk through the forest was eerily quiet but soon they came upon a two rows of curved, charred spires at least twelve feet tall. It didn’t make sense at first but as they entered the cage-like structure they realized it was the remnants of a huge beast. K’lai’a’la was in awe as she tread between the bones, barely disturbing the ash.

She came upon the creatures skull, teeth as long as her arm, a curved jaw turned up in what almost resembled a clever smile. K’lai’a’la knelt before the green dragon’s skull and began to pray. Never before had she made the pilgrimage to the remnants of their goddess before and it was only fitting that it be after the loss of her friend.

Kireen hesitated outside of the ribs as K’lai’a’la wandered, seemingly in awe around the bones. These were interesting but this was not what they were there for. Where the creature’s heart would be, lay two corpses that stood out from the ettercaps. These ones were human with what must have been leather armor. But these corpses had been dead long before the fire as they were mostly bone now. Between them sat a pile of coins and a layer of dust could not hide the deep shimmering green of an emerald the size of a baby’s head. That is what they were looking for but she did not want to put Sadie’s body down to pick it up.

I’m bothered because my mom keeps saying I’m gonna be psychologist or therapist or whatever. Like, stop saying that, dude!! She doesn’t know that. But she keeps saying like she’s sure. It’s ruining it for me. 

Because, yeah, okay, maybe I like to look at people and read them. Maybe I like to understand emotion and watch people’s emotions like it’s a scientific experiment that I don’t have to make but I do it for fun.

Maybe I think too much about mind and people’s minds and try to give them all one advice. Maybe I search about the nine types of enneagram personalities and try to understand them because, again, I want to understand people and follow their process into developing an emotion or feeling. Maybe I want to look at people and truly see them. Maybe.

But I’ll figure that out. Me. Like Nathaniel Drew said once: “people like to figure things out by themselves”. I know that I do. And I’ve been in that process where I’m like “You’re gonna figure it out, don’t worry.” And I’m just waiting on it. I’m counting on it. 

Also, I don’t want to be a doctor. I don’t fucking want to. 

I wanna work out there. With art. I know that.
