I open the door to his room and lock it behind me the second I'm inside the room. He looks at me from his seat on the bed. "What's happening?"
"Garrick isn't back and now Xaden and Sorrengail are missing too," I tell him, "Dain says they still don't have full numbers on the dead and injured yet."
"Fuck," Bodhi murmurs. I repeat the sentiment. "What are we going to do now?"
"First we're going to sleep, then I am going to call a full meeting of the Council — between you, me, Sloane, and the oldest of the underage Marked Ones, we might just be able to get some things in order. Then we can try and make some decisions about things without having to involve the Assembly."
Bodhi nods, watching as I tidy up his boots. "How the fuck are we supposed to be in charge without Xaden or Garrick?"
I shrug, sitting down on the end of his bed. "We just have to be. Like how we helped Xaden after the executions.
