the true ending of the astroloverse [sometimes called the positive ending] occurs when crest defeats and kills celeste during their final fight. in a fit of grief, he decides he will request error delete his code. before he does so, he visits dream in his multiverse to say his final goodbye, where dream comes up with an idea to turn one of the apples from the astroloverse positive. dream suggests that crest eats it and, figuring he had nothing left to lose, crest agrees and follows suit. crest survives, and shortly after finding out the first apple didn’t do much to him, eats two more. he then trains with dream to adjust to his new magical abilities before returning home two weeks later to his very worried husband and subordinates. as the years progress, crest’s soul neutralizes, and he becomes fully capable of wielding both energies like nim had with few consequences to himself.
this timeline is fairly developed and linear. its only branches lead to dreamtale’s endings in dream’s multiverse.
this ending is considered good-leaning-neutral, because while the emotional balance is restored throughout the multiverse, crest is relatively lonely, only having his husband and friends from dream’s multiverse as company. he also does not come to better terms with his sister.
