webfishing is good
have you guys heard of this?
eliminating ableist language is important. calling out ableism is important. it’s important whether it’s coming from a friend, family member, or stranger. it’s important no matter how intentional or unintentional or casual it is; people don’t always know that autism acceptance has replaced autism awareness, or that they could be saying “disabled” where they are saying “crippled”. i’ve corrected my teachers on both and was met with understanding! calling out ableism works!
