Here's her story (warning: most of her story hcs are headcanons, ofc, since it's an AU):

Deniz was born from an affair between Dyle (born August 17, 1999) and Poppy (born July 27, 2001).

She is American-Australian (Poppy is Australian in this story (and in my hcs)).

She was born on July 22, 2025, in San Francisco and grew up in Baltimore. However, Baltimore is also one of the most dangerous streets in the US.

Deniz is a bit smaller than most Toons her age (such as Holly Carolynne-Dancifer or Bryer Bloomington) because she was born prematurely. Her due date was supposed to be August 31st. However, she is still taller than Sinatra.

She was raised by her mother Poppy and her uncle Finn (Poppy’s twin brother).

Dyle is not in the picture because he didn't want to be involved in raising a child in this cruel world with Poppy. He was never part of the show (canon), and Poppy had to raise Deniz mostly alone in San Francisco because Gardenview was too dangerous.

Even Dyle had an emo phase when he was around her age.

When Deniz was 7 years old, she was heavily bullied at school. One day she had enough. She knocked the bully out, brought him to her house’s attic, and the bully barely survived the lesson that followed.

Poppy described Deniz’s bringing into the world as scary”.

Deniz is sensitive to criticism. She often stays in her room and has selective social withdrawal, but she still forces herself to do well at school.

Deniz loves pegasuses, motorcycles, and trains.

Even though Deniz and Poppy love each other, their relationship is complicated. Poppy constantly pressures her to “be happy and unique” (because of her optimism), hides her own struggles, often forgets lunches, keeps the house messy, makes last-minute plans, and can be very loud. Deep down, Poppy is also tired and lonely. And still addicted to Pop Pop.

Deniz has a big heart. She is tough, independent, confident, and good at spotting fake people. In the long run, she has a close bond with Poppy. Her personality is a strong mix of both her parents.

Her cousins are Ulysses (Finn and Cocoa’s son) and Monique (Rodger and Teagan’s daughter).

As a kid, Deniz was the calmest and coolest child. She focused on school and friendships, just like her uncle Finn, her father Dyle, and her grandmother Laverna.

Despite being calm, Deniz has always been a troublemaker, just like her mom Poppy.

Poppy and Finn had a very rough childhood because they were orphaned at age 8. This is why Poppy tries hard to be a good mom, but is sometimes chaotic and over-the-top.

Deniz became interested in urbex (urban exploration) when she turned 12.

Her current boyfriend is Bryer Bloomington.

Her favorite bands are Måneskin, Sick Puppies, Nickelback, Avenged Sevenfold, Evanescence, and Caravan Palace. Her favorite songs include “Baby Say,” “Gossip,” “You’re Going Down,” “Animals,” “A Little Piece of Heaven,” “Everybody’s Fool,” “Bring Me to Life,” and “Lay Down.”

Her favorite singer is YUNGBLUD, and her favorite song from him is “Parents,” which represents a bit of her own life.

Deniz is a troublemaker who constantly gets into serious situations. Because of that, Poppy is often called in by authorities or the school, which stresses her out and makes her feel like she’s failing as a mother.

Deniz’s full name is Denizia Hydracula Sydney Seamore.

As a kid, her favorite series were Bluey, South Park, My Little Pony, and Happy Tree Friends. Now she loves Hazbin Hotel, Metalocalypse, The Boondocks, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Robot Chicken, South Park, Helluva Boss, and Happy Tree Friends (yes, a few of her tastes never changed). She's watched anime since she was little.

Her favorite novels include “Pussycat Diaries,” Marcel Pagnol’s “Fanny,” and dark romance books.

She especially loves reading mangas and comics (both comedy and dark ones).

Her favorite video games are Resident Evil, Mouse: P.I. For Hire, Cuphead, Doom, Finding Frankie, Five Nights At Freddy’s, and ironically “Dandy’s World.”

Deniz has multiple skills and talents.

She often stays up all night watching adult series or documentaries alone or with friends (Holly, Bryer, Moon, and sometimes Sinatra) during sleepovers.

Whenever she gets very upset, her clock head starts making loud ticking noises.

She hates being unorganized.

She strongly hates when Sinatra touches her.

She can swear a lot when she’s angry or done with everything.

She hates snakes, but her Twisted transformation is very painful. She cried the first time she saw herself in the mirror after transforming.

Deniz looks a lot like Dyle, but the way she was raised by Poppy (and her maternal grandma) is very different from how Laverna (her dad's mom) raised Dyle and Rodger.

Her rivalry with Sinatra is a mix of Shrimpo vs Dyle and Eric Cartman vs Kyle Broflovski.

Poppy earns money her own and hard way to provide for her kid.

Deniz is 17, soon 18.

She's demisexual and heteroromantic.
