😸 favorite relationship dynamic in the clan?

Okay so. You were probably expecting a "__ and __ are really cute together" or "I love this sibling dynamic" but I actually find this dynamic between Popflower and Aphidbranch to be interesting.

Okay so not telling you what moon this screenshot was taken on(not the current moon I'll tell you that) but I think it's funny how Pop just. doesn't like Aphidbranch too much?

ALSO you've mentioned some more hostile clans around-- why are they hostile ? like does rainclan have beef w them specifically or are they just. like that?

last one BUT poppaw was attacked by a dog, are there humans around? how does rainclan interact with them? are there any former kittypets?

finally!! who is rainclans saddest and happiest kitty by your estimation? out of curiousity

In the big picture, RainClan isn’t all too different from any clan you’d find in the [Warrior Cats] books. However, during early apprentice years, everybody keeps close watch on what skills different cats are better or worse at. If it is found that a cat doesn’t like fighting and isn’t very good at hunting, they are instead trained to be faster and more agile or to be the best tracker ever! No cat is forced into a role that they don’t want, but they also are not kicked out of that role because of a lack of skill. RainClan recognises that no cat is perfect! 

Yes! SO I said that as a basic excuse I think actually without putting too much thought into it so this is a good chance to also explain the other clans! There are three clans that live near RainClan: BluebellClan, SerpentClan, and SilverClan. Starting with BluebellClan, they’re like RiverClan in the first arc of Warriors. They’re mean for basically no reason. While they aren't the most hostile Clan, they aren’t the kindest to foreigners. SerpentClan is most likely the clan that I would have been referencing in that post. They’re not afraid to fight and everyone knows it. They know that they’re better than everyone else and if you need proof you can step over their borders and see how many cats cry at your vigil. As I write this they just declared war on BluebellClan(moon 5). Unfortunately, they actually aren’t even mentioned until moon 16. SilverClan! They’re the kittypets of the bunch. They are constantly picked on by SerpentClan warriors as I imagine them to share a border in my head. Not much to say about them, they’re even less relevant than SerpentClan. In addition to these clans, there are also probably some other groups of cats that wander around. Some might offer healing, others might ditch their kits at the Clans because they’re “too busy” to look after them. Back to the Clans, RainClan(as of moon 5, the most recently released moon) does not beef with anyone just yet! We’re neutral in whatever crazy war SerpentClan is going through... that’ll change moon 10.

There are humans in the area! Some are more responsible with their animals than others. However, I’ve decided that the humans who live all the time in the towns around RainClan do not actively seek out cats to TNR or bring to shelters. Over time, cats come to learn which humans to avoid, but most of them are friendly or do not interact. In the winter some humans may set up heated patios for passing strays, giving them food, clean water, and good shelter. Expecting queens or cats with young kittens will often stay in or near these community places. I think it would be fun to imagine that the humans know how rough the next storm will be by counting how many cats are seen in the catio in the days leading up to it. All that said, Orangetooth, Poppaw and Schmidt’s injuries were all accidents caused by the lack of restraint some humans had for their dogs. While not all dogs are dangerous, it is important to keep them on a leash when going along a trail!

The saddest and happiest… hmm… I think that the saddest is probably Poppaw. Hollyhock and Skip have been getting a lot of attention lately. The warriors are starting to whisper about what to do if one of the other clans extend their attacks on RainClan, and she’s half blind! She’s in the middle of a lot of conflicting information and nobody is around her age. She often catches the eyes of some other apprentices and warriors who constantly tell her “your scars make you look even prettier!”(lie)”Are you feeling alright?”(yes?) or “It must be so much harder for you to hunt now…”(it is. Thanks for the overwhelming amount of pity that you couldn’t hide in your eyes). The happiest cat is between two cats: Skippaw and Coyoteburn. You’ll find out next moon why Coyote would be happy, but I imagine Skip to be the happiest for the sole reason of him being young. The world hasn’t touched him yet and he’s still got some kit-fluff behind his ears. He’s happy that he gets to hunt with Hollyhockpaw, thinks that training with Poppaw is the highest honor(like, actually! She’s so cool!), and also did you see the rabbit he caught yesterday? It was like. Double the size of him! You should’ve been there it was awesome and like it was so fast but he was faster and so he jumped on it and– You get the idea.
