Hey! My name is Shadow (Shadow[TheArtist]) and this is RainClan!
RainClan is a ClanGen moon-by-moon story that follows the moon events of my ClanGen Clan, RainClan. It has no overarching plot and has no planned ending. If you notice a typo, a mistake in coloring such as an uncolored inner ear or pawpads, or feel that something in the moon needs to be clarified, send an ask! I swear I won't be like "well, I don't care" because I do care and my friends are too nice to point out stuff like that ;)

Quick Note:
RainClan is for fun. It is also based on ClanGen, which involves injury and death of animals. Don't get too serious about stuff and don't yell at other people for messing up a cat's gender, that stuf isn't for you to worry about. I am also a human being and so I will get busy. @our-clangen: OUGH Snowy I love how you translate the events of OurClan into a comic form, I can't wait to see what happens next! OurClan's characters are very unique and you can bond with every one in different ways (but please be nice, it's not alright to say hateful things about fictional characters that do not belong to you)
@fallenclan: Tumblr is marking their blog as having mature content right now, but Beetle is so good at drawing the cats in a way that makes them recognizable! It's also less of a comic and more of just clan life, which is what I'm going for with RainClan. Also DEDICATION MUCH?? They consistently post every Tuesday and Thursday and are in the 300 moon area. That's insane.
@ferretclangenfooli: Very new clan, but I love the artstyle and the cats. It has a good mix of comic and day-to-day life, which I find very nice. Also GeneMod, which is an awesome mod that I recommend people play.

After realizing that there will be a page posted tomorrow, I have decided to prolong the design contest until Saturday! Although not a very long extension, hopefully any of you who wish to participate will be able to get your design finished before it ends. Late responses will be accepted for 24 hours to accommodate for any time zone differences and my own personal life :)

The cat that this contest will be for is currently called Newtpaw! He is 6 moons old, nervous, and oddly observant. He has short fur. With your entry, you can add what you think would be a good warrior name for him! (I might choose someone else's name if I like it better; name isn't strictly tied to a specific design!)

I love Roseweb so much. She's like the quiet kid that sits in the back of the class and you never see hanging out with friends but seems to know like everything in the whole world.
Her ears are rounded and her tail is tufted because I wanted her to look a bit like a lioness because she gives those vibes.

When I saw he was a gray kitty with sunlit ice and was named Newt I had to give it a shot hehe
Design notes:
Marking near eye resembles a newt's eye (for camouflage + oddly observant so he has extra "eyes")
Little tufts of fur at connecting points that look like the impact of a raindrop
Goopy drip marks on the back like slime
Pointed tail like a newt + webbed paw!
I feel like since he's nervous it was fitting to give him camouflage to look like an enormous newt :] when he closes his eyes he could probably pretend to be one! For a warrior name I'd suggest Newtcurl, as in curling up!
Newtcurl is such a cute name I love it! I think my favorite part of this design are the false eyes. I love the detail of the webbed paws and the raindrop tufts are a really cute and clever idea I never would've thought of!

My one note is that his fur is very smooth! giving him that smooth newt-like look! hes based a lot on that little guy in the corner that I found on google :) I love making nervous little fellas

He's so cute and squishy I love him! I really like the colors you chose and how vibrant his eyes are! Also, I know he's based off of a newt but he reminds me a teeeny bit of a squirrel too and I really love that. design aside I really like the name Newtsprawl it's so clumsy and adorable.

Here's my entry for @rainclan-clangen's design contest! Since Newtpaw is named Newt, I added a lighter color for the neck, chest, and paws, as well as under Newtpaw's mouth and tail. I thought the slightly longer snout was cute, and added some darker gray freckles on Newtpaw's nose bridge, under his eyes, and on top of the smoke pattern on his body. I also added some dark spots at the top of Newtpaw's tail! I think his potential warrior name could be Newtslip.
Newtpaw was fun to design, and I hope you like it :]
