last night my brain was blessed (cursed?) by the realization that if the Love Interest in my fantasy romance novel is a monster who is exclusively attracted to humans. and is bullied by basically every other member of his race for his preference....
that means he is. a reverse monster-fucker. a Human-Fucker, if you will. FUCK!
I'm pretty sure both Chloe and Rachel love teasing each other in public. It's a test to see just who will give in.

Cyborg (2016) #19-20 is soooo funny because in issues #1-18, Semper does this whole long arc that ends with Victor finally recognizing that being Cyborg is a gift and that he really truly treasures his father and that their relationship has been in some measure repaired.
And then for #19 Grevioux takes over writing and the first thing we see is Victor questioning his humanity and blaming his father. This is especially funny in trade paperback form, because you literally turn the page from "I will never question my humanity or my relationship with my father ever again" to "Am I even human? I blame my father for this." And this isn't really Grevioux's fault - it's on the editors to make sure things are consistent from one issue to another, especially since Grevioux might have started working on the story before issue #18 was out. But it's very entertaining and it's representative of one of the reasons that no one ever really progresses in comics.
