Hera, throwing him off Mount Olympus: YE E T
OH MY GOD IM DYING I WAS TALKING TO MY SISTER ABOUT GREEK MYTHOLOGY AND APHRODITE AND AT ONE POINT SHE JUST GOESÂ âwell shes cheatingâ IN THE MOST DEADPAN VOICE EVER
âzeus is firmly in control of the gods by virtue of his physical strength -- a fact hephaestus reinforces when he tells the other gods about the time zeus threw him from olympus because of his disobedienceâ / classical mythology, lisa maurizio
MY BOI HEPHAESTUS, MY POOR BOY how many times they gon throw you off olympus like this smhÂ
The childâs little Greek-goddesses-at-junior-high book or whatever it is just depicted a scene between Aphrodite and Aries and their budding romance. Donât think it mentioned Hephaestus. Even the writers ignored their relationship.

Most dads would just yell a lot, or ground you, or take away your Xbox. Zeus grabbed Hephaestus by the ankle, yanked him off his feet and dragged him to the nearest window.
Percy Jackson's Greek Gods
futilejubilee said: Entirely Aphroditeâs fault. It was supposed to be her wedding party to Hephaestus, and bitch neglects to invite the most powerful cohort of Ares, who she was already fucking on the side. And that day she learned: donât FUCK with the goddess of chaos.
I was under the impression it was a banquet to celebrate the wedding of Thetis, Achilles's mom and some hero Peleus or w/e, not Aphrodite's.
If it were Aphrodite's wedding, I imagine it would just be understood that the gift would be for her on her wedding day. Also Aphrodite was a lover of Ares; I doubt either would want to participate in the awk-fest that would ensue. I think it would also be understood that she would not want to invite the female cohort of her lover to her wedding or that it would be in poor taste or w/e. It'd be supes weird.Â
But I could be wrong. I just seem to remember it always being this way. But also a lot of versions say different things about everything in mythology so it probably does exist (probably more like 98% definitely) and no one ever agrees on anything.
