Gentle one for parkrun 101. Much colder than I realised, I stepped out of the house & could see my breath! Swapped cap for beenie & put a jacket on. A good choice was was a little by the end of the run, but defo needed them for jog down, Jeff home & first mile! Had to be gentle as I’ve finally agreed to put my boots on for #poolerfc 2nds this afternoon. What started as I’ll bring boots & maybe 5 mins at the end if needed, too we might not have enough & can you get there early enough for the full warm up before kick off! We’re away at Lytchett if anyone is local & nothing on this afternoon. It’s been over 20 years, but training has been going well. As usual not the run I had planned. Last night was #poolerfc Xmas party & while I wasn’t drinking I didn’t get in until nearly one in the morning. Didn’t get up as early as I wanted. Great evening, but food not great! #garmin didn’t start, missed nearly a mile of down hill running! So map is incomplete! The plan was to get up early & a hilly 10km, however not only was I up late, but with a cold! I gave my ‘race shoes’ a go for a change & my opinion hasn’t changed. They aren’t the most comfortable. My regular trainers are on the way out, need to wait for January sales, but on the look out for a new pair. It was wet out, but great it wasn’t cold for the first time in a couple of weeks. I didn’t run last week because of being busy at work & the ice on the paths. Just didn’t fancy falling over! But I did today on the path at the top of the garden, at least no one saw me!
