Pairing: Sherlock Holmes/Amy Pond Setting: Modern Royalty AU Chapters: 4/?

Amelia Pond wasn't prepared for her parents' death. Sure she has spent her whole life preparing to become the Queen of the small country of Freylon, but it wasn't supposed to happen like this. With parliament breathing down her neck, pressuring her to marry her betrothed, Rory Williams, Amy has to navigate a delicate political minefield while deciding if an arranged marriage is truly something she wants.

Sherlock Holmes is a member of the royal guard, or ex-member. He resigned the night of the King and Queen's death, not accepting the "accident" story. There is something more to their deaths that no one else seems to be investigating. He came back to be the bodyguard for the new Queen to be. But between the growing anti-monarchy sentiment in the country and the invisible enemy threatening her life, it’s a bit harder than he first thought.

Can he save his Queen's life before it's too late? Will he be able to solve the clues that seem to be sporadic and disconnected? Most of all, what is he going to do when he starts falling in love with the stubborn Queen to be?

Sherlock Holmes/Amy Pond Series:

Making It On Our Own: “Let’s make a pact. It gets rough, for you or for me, we run away together. We just say fuck it all and we go.” Neither Sherlock or Amy want to stay in Leadworth the rest of their lives. They meet at a party and over drinks make a pact before starting a relationship with each other, one their families eventually disapprove of. Before they can be separated they run away from home, lodging with a woman Sherlock helped who is sympathetic to their plight. They're on their own, and life is hard at times, but freedom is worth it…as long as they have each other.

A teenage lovers AU, set pre-series for Sherlock and in between when Amy met the Doctor as a child and before he comes back for Amy. They meet at a party and begin a romantic as well as sexual relationship afterward. When their families find out Sherlock's mom and dad threaten to send Sherlock to military school in the States, so they run away the evening before he's supposed to leave, posing as a married couple until they get to 221 Baker Street and tell Mrs. Hudson the truth after she agrees to let them live there while they get on their feet.

Could potentially have explicit underage sex (it's implied already) but I may not write anything explicit until they're of legal age in England, though they're going to continue to be intimate before that point (and they'll be careful…if I write a pregnancy in this series it will be when they're older and more steady and can support a baby).

Moving On Together: Amelia Pond dropped into Sherlock's life like a hurricane and he finds himself hanging on for dear life. She's a woman with a past, a woman with secrets…exactly the kind of mystery he'd try to solve with reckless abandon. But he finds himself accepting her just the way she is, secrets and all. One day, if he's lucky, she'll make him privy to her past. Until then, he'll simply love her as she is.

A post-"Asylum of the Daleks"/"The Reichenbach Falls" AU where Sherlock spent three years taking down Moriarty's empire and Rory and Amy didn't reconcile at the end of "Asylum of the Daleks." Amy spends a lot of the series keeping her travels with the Doctor a secret, but eventually she will open up to Sherlock and tell him the truth, and once Mycroft tells him about UNIT and introduces him to Kate Lethbridge-Stewart, they begin a new chapter of their life by moving in together.

Left Over: Amy Pond was engaged to Rory Williams, and she was happy, even if he wasn't her soulmate. She did love him, after all. But before the wedding, when Rory starts his new post at St. Barts, he meets his soulmate, Molly Hooper. Of course the wedding has to be called off, as she wants the best for Rory, and that's not her. But while she's drowning her sorrows over the end of her relationship she meets her soulmate: Sherlock Holmes, who she had seen but never spoken to. Maybe things are looking up after all…
