Some close up shots (after con damage) since I forgot to take photos during the build.
- For the eyes I used Woven Buckram, then painted the pupils directly on it. You can see through the white fairly well. - The holes inside the head are bits of cardboard folded over and glued to the ears and hair spikes for more support. (In the picture some of the cardboard did peal away due to the heat...) If you make a Cloud head out of cardboard don’t forget about weight balance. The two hair spikes over the ear are weighted with more cardboard and hot glue enough to balance out the head. - Scrap EVA foam glued inside to make it more comfy and fit better. - The sleeve part was just some tan cloth sewn into a cylinder then safety pinned to the shirt. - Shoulders were attached with some velcro to the main body. - The leg parts had a “hinge” made with some elastic so you can bend your knees. The legs were held up by elastic attached to the belt part with some more velcro. - The belt was just held up by being small and hips, lol. Each flap on the belt was attached by elastic strips for some more mobility. To get in and out of it was also done with velcro. - Inside the hands I glued a PVC pipe to hold onto. - Shoes were kinda an after thought, I took my shoe and just made some shapes that fit over my shoe and attached them all with some more elastic strips. The shoe covers are a tad smaller then my shoe, but that helped keep them on. For Vincent, since his shoe was bigger, I did add a strip of elastic that went under his shoe to keep the shoe cover from moving around. Surprisingly the shoe covers held up really well. - The body basically had one side that was attached mostly by velcro. The one shoulder strap on the body also was attached with velcro so your head can fit. So to wear it, you undid all the bits, slip in and just re attach all the velcro.
