What excites you the most about your secondary WIP?

The thing I’m most excited about in Polycraft, is the ability to represent a polyamorous couple/throuple. I don’t really see polygamy/polyamory in books, which I think is a shame, because it offers so much story potential.

I’ll be posting fanfictions and fanarts here. So I just want everyone to know off the bat that I ONLY SHIP THE MINECRAFT PERSONAS!

I don’t ship any of these people irl. All my fanfics/art takes place in an AUniverse that I made up and they in no way involve the real people.

Thank you so much for the ask! As all the questions came to me while writing Polycraft, I’ll be answering the questions with my magical throuple (:

#1 - What are their love languages? How do they express them?

Let’s start with Damon, who has the love languages of acts of service. He loves too help Beatrix and Atlas with spells, adores doing the housework the other two are too lazy to do, and generally being helpful to the people he cares about. He never expects anything in return, but Beatrix and Atlas always find the time to assist him with the small stuff like homework, because they know how much it means to him.

Beatrix has physical touch, which is really convenient, as she’s very small and huggable. Though she has a hard time admitting it, she completely melts under hand-holding and cuddles, and really wants nothing more than to be stroked and held. Atlas and Damon are more than happy to indulge her, which she is so thankful for, as her family isn’t exactly the very touchy-feely type.

Finally, Atlas has quality time. For him, the most important thing is just getting to see the ones he cares about. He doesn’t really care what it is- be it a banterfull debate with Beatrix or a round of magical troubleshooting with Damon- as long as he gets to spend time with them. Though he loves any kind of quality time, his favourite activity to rope them into is road trips.

5# - How do they feel about romance?

Damon is perhaps the one with the leads complicated feelings on the matter. Like so many other things in life, Damon has a rather old-fashioned view on it. He views romance as something special and magical, involving lots of flowers and traditional courting, to be truly shared with someone special. Damon is the one with the least experience out of the three- not because he is unattractive or uninterested in romance- but because he’s waiting for that special someone (or special someone’s) to truly care for and spoil.

Beatrix has slightly more complicated feelings on the matter. She’s a closet romantic, sappier than even Damon at times, who dreams of nothing more than to find someone to settle down with in domestic bliss. The problem is, that she is also the freest of spirits, and she finds herself bored quickly with every relationship, and immediately searching for greener grasses. At this point, Beatrix believes that she’s simply incapable of love, that something inside her is broken, and that she’ll never quite find romantic fulfilment in any one guy.

Damon stood in the half-broken doorway, a set of candles in his arms, luminescent white eyes scanning around the room. “What are you guys doing?” he asked, already a slight disapproving tone to his voice.

“None of your fucking business, is what where doing,” Atlas responded,, arms still hidden behind his back. Beatrix nodded, a teasing smile on her face, though stopped as soon as she saw something shift in Damon’s eyes.

“Alright, Angel,” he said in a hushed tone with just the slightest of frowns, and oh, she’d completely forgotten how oblivious he could be with body language. He started turning away, expression crumbling more as he turned, and though she knew it would ruin the surprise, Beatrix felt herself calling out to him on instinct. He turned to her, “what is it, Sweetie?”

“It’s not anything bad, or a secret,” she reassured, noticing but not commenting on the way his shoulders sunk, “it’s actually a surprise.”

Damon’s eyes lit up, quite literally. “A surprise?” he repeated, disbelief in his voice Beatrix shared a look with Atlas- who admittedly looked a little disappointed about not being able to tinker with it more- before he pulled the ceremonial knife from behind his back. “Ta-Da!” she exclaimed, making even Atlas quiver on the edge of a smile.

“I made it and sharpened the blade, Beatrix bought the materials and carved the pattern,” Atlas began, “obviously not done- and not as good as the real thing- but-”

Atlas was interrupted by a tackle, Damon pulling them both into a tight hug. “I love you guys so, so much,” he said fondly, voice containing an unbearable rawness that only Damon ever dared show, “you’re the best thing that ever happened to me.”

“Love you too” Beatrix whispered back, stroking his thin, blonde hair, for once not hidden under a robe, gently.
