I tried using gradient map just to see the hype, but I don't like using it so instead I ended up mix-matching a bunch of bullshit blend modes together until it works :P

The challenge was to base off the art from a song in Angel’s (peak) polyclew playlist. The skeleton detail is kinda buried underneath all that oop but I wanted it to represent decomposition and the worms as death. The song describes inevitability of it.

The orange glow in their chests is love, blooming in the process of consumption. Death is not the end and they’re not alone when it happens, because the worms that consumed one is the same that consumed the other.

Death looks scary with its teeth and slime and wriggling form; its persisting want to be embraced by your insides.

But death is to be remade with love, rebirth as one being, and that’s who the worm polycule became.
