Anyways, here’s another request from an Anon! They didn’t specify on the plot so I picked a rando from @fanficy-prompts
Here’s Poly! Warf/SO/Dark in a power outage! - Al
You quietly watch your lovers bicker from your spot on the couch. Wilford had managed to shoot a hole in the TV while cleaning his pistol. Lucky for you, you were in the kitchen when that happened, but Dark was still upset that you could have been in danger.
“How many times have I told you to unload the bullets before cleaning that blasted gun of yours?!” Dark’s form flickered as his rage grew. His hands wrung together in worry, although he would never admit this nervous habit aloud.
“And how many times do I have to tell you that you’re not the boss of me?!” Wil’s chest puffed up in an attempt to make himself seem larger than Dark. Any other time this would have made you laugh since the two men are the exact same height.
The sheer power rolling off the two is starting to overwhelm you, however. Sweat has started to accumulate along your palms and back and the ringing coming from Dark is beginning to give you a migraine. Rubbing your hands against the leather couch, you try to ignore the effects the two Demonic Egos are having on the area around them. In particular, the stereo system has turned to static and the lights have become uncomfortably bright.
Dark lunges forward enough to hold Wilford by his collar. “I am your boss if it means S/O was in danger from your own stupidity!” After that particular outburst, it appeared like the electronics in the home could no longer take the pressure. As Dark finished speaking the power left the room entirely.
A surprised shriek left you as the light disappeared. It was at this point that the ringing was at its loudest. With no other choice, you covered your ears to drown out the sound.
Upon hearing your surprise, and fear, the two men froze in place. The entire time they were arguing they entirely forgot about the human in the room. Dark released a sigh as he removed his grip from Wilford’s collar. Adjusting his suit jacket, the shadow demon allows his eyes to become used to the darkness. Across from him, Warfstache frowns. He knows that Dark was right, he should have taken more care in protecting you. There’s no way he could ever forgive himself if something were to have happened.
It’s just too easy to piss Dark off.
“S/O?” Dark called softly. “Are you alright?”
Hesitantly, you remove your hands from your ears. “I’m... I’m ok.”
Wilfred sighs in relief. He takes a seat next to you on the couch to rub your back comfortingly. “We went overboard, didn’t we?”
You laugh softly. “Yeah, just a little.”
“I’ll see what I can do about the lights.” Dark points in the direction of Wilford, “you apologize to S/O in the meantime.”
The reporter clicks his tongue in annoyance. “Remind me again why we let him stay here?” He asks as the gloomy man exits the room.
“Because we love him and he doesn’t fight us when we want to cuddle?” You teasingly reply.
“Ah, right.” Wilford chuckles. He glances at you from the corner of his eyes. “...You do know that the gun firing was an accident, right?”
“Of course,” You laugh. “If I died there would be no one that knows how you like your Strawberry Milkshakes.”
Before Wilford can defend himself a flashlight beam blinds him. Dark stands in the doorway holding said flashlight, a smirk on his face. “It would seem that we blew a breaker. It will take time for the programming to reset. In the meantime, we will just have to wait.”
Pulling your legs up onto the couch, you frown. “How long is that going to take?”
Dark shrugs. “At least an hour, I assume.”
“Boo!” Wilford groaned. “How boring!”
Resting your head on Wilford’s shoulder, you blink tiredly. “I think I’m going to go to bed then.” You struggle to lift your heavy body from the comfortable warmth that Wil emits. “All this arguing has worn me out.” Before you can take a step, you are pulled into familiar arms.
Wilford sighs. “At least let us walk you up. The house is a mess and unlike you, Dark and I are able to see in the dark.” Another set of arms pick you up from Wil’s lap.
Delirious with exhaustion, you mumble, “Dark can see inside himself?” An amused chuckle rumbles through the chest that you are now held against.
“In a way.” He jokes. Dark carries you through the darkened house in his arms. Unlike the heated, sunshine-esc feeling that Warfstache produces, Dark’s touch is chilled like silken sheets. Your eyes battle to stay open. The darkness surrounding you, and the rhythmic bouncing of Dark’s steps lull you to slumber.
Awakened by the rustling bed sheets, you blearily watch as Wilford crawls under the sheets. Behind him, Dark diligently removed his coat jacket and button-up in exchange for a silk PJ set with a cursive ‘D’ stitched into the right breast pocket. A lamp on one of the side tables is switched on, allowing Dark to better see what he’s doing in the otherwise pitch room.
“When did the lights come back on?” You mumble.
Wilford hums, slinging an arm over your shoulders. “About a half-hour ago. We stayed up to clean. Dark bought a new TV.”
You snort, “Did he really buy it or did he pull an Anti and just take it?”
“Does it matter?” Dark laughs as he lays down on your other side. “No normal human can catch me anyway.”
“Is that supposed to be a compliment for me?” your eyes watch Dark as he drapes his own arm across your hip. The demon snaps his free fingers and all light in the room disappears.
Cold lips press into your temple. “Love, you’re in bed with two different demons. You are anything but normal.” Wil shows his own agreement with Dark’s words by kissing your neck.
Hhhhhhnnnngggg, this didn’t go how I wanted. I’m too lazy to fix things so, enjoy? - AL
