IT SURE FUCKING IS, WELCOME TO EL'S ALOLAN ADVENTURES DEEP DIVE, reincarnation is REAL and your Pokemon might've been human before WHO KNOWS

I like to headcanon that there's 3 types of "reincarnation" in the Pokemon Universe - the first two are what we're already familiar with from Pokedex entries or depictions in the anime, departed human souls posessing objects or turning into Pokemon after a tragic death, unable to move on into the afterlife.

Then there's also the phenomenon of loved objects turning sentient and transforming into Pokemon, like we've seen with Banette, but that's not really reincarnation and more the direct BIRTH of a soul.

And the third is my personal headcanon that applies to Dusk directly, which would be classic reincarnation, being reborn into a new body after death, with no memory of what came before. Which in Dusk's case would imply that he's been reincarnated before. I like to think he's been human many centuries ago and since then got stuck in a reincarnation-cycle of being reborn as a Pokemon. Maybe there is a lesson there to be learned before he can reincarnate as a human again.

But I don't think all Honedges are affected by this. I like to think some ghost type species came to be by the Legends the Pokedexes describe, but then developed into an actual species where some ghost Pokemon are...simply Pokemon!

Each gym is meant to have their own significance that matches with their city.

In this case, the city that Felix lives in is fully mechanical(?) It's heavily based on Anthian City from pokemon Brick Bronze, as that's the game that actively built my love for pokemon in the first place.

The city is in the sky (believe it or not it's literally named "The City in the Sky") and takes on a modern steampunk aesthetic (I think I'm explaining that right).
