the shortest poem in the world is one syllable, which probably can't be reduced any further.
therefore, the only way to create an even shorter poem is to work outside the box. the shortest poem is a poem without words in it with a title that is one syllable.
but we can go even shorter!!!
a poem in a chapter that has no title and no words in it is the shortest poem in the world.
BUT WE CAN GO SHORTER!!!
a book with no chapter titles in it that contains a poem without a title and no words in it.
EVEN MORE!!
A book with no title, that has no chapter titles, containing a poem without a title and has no words in it.
EVEN:
A library holding a book with no title, that has no chapter titles, containing a poem with out a title and has no words in it.

I'm at work and currently reading "My education : a book of dreams" by Williams S. Burroughs. I was writing in my own dream journal and I was curious as to actual authors dream journals. Burroughs is the only one I have actually read a decent bit of him(started over the first half of Naked Lunch 5 times, but never finishing), so I'm giving it a shot. Doesn't seem too long. I'll put quotes in this that I like.
Philosophy is exhausting to get into because it's built around responses to prior ideas and redefining the understanding of them. The whole thing has missing context if you start with the most well known works. You'll only understand everything discussed if you start from the very beginning of Writing About Thinking, whatever book or essay that may be. You just won't 'Get It' otherwise.
You're having to read through the words of the people who thought the most about everything.
