hey did you know that squids have a weird structure in the middle of their body called a pen? it looks and feels like plastic, with its shape super reminiscent of a feather pen (hence its name, i assume) so hypothetically if you had a dead squid you could dissect it, take out the pen, cut open the ink sack, dip the pen in the ink sack and use it as a normal pen. hash tag squid
wow that’s really cool! I looked it up and apparently it’s called a “gladius” and is used to support the squids body instead of an outer shell. I definitely think the 100% organic squid pen would be very nice!
