calling all podficcers! i have a question. i’m relatively new to this, and don’t think i’ve talked to any podficcers, so can someone let me know-
what’s the etiquette on doing a podfic for a story that already has one? i feel like it’s a bit rude to make a second podfic for a story but that might just be my own anxiety and impostor syndrome kicking in. thanks!
Things no one warned me about when I started to get into doing podfics (even if I'm not doing them often or many), the fact that you sit there listening for your own breathing sometimes and wondering if that's too long of a pause or not after silencing it

Listen I learned about podficing, ADHD brain said I should try it despite I haaaaate my voice, so here’s me literally reading the title of one of my own fics before getting too embarassed and shutitng it off.
Does anyone do podfic?
If you do, how do you differential between the character's voices and your narration? Do you exaggerate their voices and try to imitate accents or what? I don't want to sound totally ridiculous, but I don't exactly have a wide vocal range.
