Found in the US states of Colorado, Kansas, and Nebraska. Little is known of its behavior or ecology aside from typical behaviors of the other pocket gophers.

Western Pocket Gopher
Western pocket gophers live in Canada, America and a decent portion of Mexico. Western gophers are seen above ground most often at night. Since they spend most of their time underground using their large teeth to dig for food. Their digging actually helps the soil, in a similar way to worms, although they will eat your plants so not the best thing for a garden.
