this was the most fun i had while oil painting at school, because you're supposed to go quickly (3 paintings in 3 hours), and it was outside, and i got to sit on the floor while people stared at me
sometimes my colors got a bit muddy but i still like specific areas, and the colors i chose makes them pop in that area
if i ever do oil painting again i'd like to do this and this only.

Color exercice - Backgrounds from Le Jour des Corneilles & Abraca
Fr : Pochades de couverture pour mon projet d'année : "La Sirène de Carcosa". Le projet s'inspire très fortement de l'univers du roman "Le Roi en Jaune" écrit par Robert W. Chambers. L'histoire suit Lorelei de la Rivière, une jeune chanteuse amateur se retrouvant malgré elle à Carcosa, la cité des artistes fous, gouvernée par le Roi en Jaune. Elle doit participer à un concours de chant macabre pour remplacer la Sirène mourante, chanteuse et favorite du Roi. Elle décide alors de succéder à la Sirène dans cette compétition, en espérant pouvoir échapper au capital morbide. Attendez-vous à voir d'autres dessins sur le projet bientôt ^^. Travail à l'aquarelle.
Eng: Cover sketches for my year project: "The Mermaid of Carcosa". The project is very strongly inspired by the world of the short story novel "The King in Yellow" written by Robert W. Chambers. The story follows Lorelei de la Rivière, a young amateur singer who ended up in Carcosa, the city of crazy artists, governed by the King in Yellow. She must participate in a macabre singing competition to replace the dying Mermaid, singer, and favorite of the King. She then decides to succeed the Mermaid in this competition, hoping to be able to escape from the morbid capital. Expect to see other drawings on the project soon ^^. Watercolor work.
