Natural Cures for PMS?
I didn't mean my first post to be about PMS but it is. I'm starting to get my cramps and I get the worst, longest, most disgusting period ever. I already took tylenol three but I can still feel the pain. I decided to stop abusing medication about a month ago - this means ALL medication. I used to over-take it all to escape depression, etc. This is he first time in my life I've actually stopped (and I'm nearly 40). Back to the subject. Here's some info I found on the net: 1. The root causes of PMS are high estrogen-to-progesterone ratio, abnormal neurotransmitter response, disrupted sodium metabolism caused by stress, carbohydrate metabolism, and nutritional deficiencies. 2. There isn't conclusive evidence that herbal treatments for PMS work. 3. PMS symptoms can start to occur 7 - 14 days before your period starts... YIKES. 5% of women experience PMS symptoms so badly they mess up the rest of their month (hand up). 4. The official term for this issue is dysmenorrhea... sounds like a really, really bad form of diarreah. 5. Mentrual cramps are caused by contractions in the uterus. If the uterus contracts too strongly, it can press against nearby blood vessels, cutting off the supply of oxygen to the muscle tissue of the uterus. Pain results when part of a muscle briefly loses its supply of oxygen. 6. Exercising and stretching helps.
10 Things You Do You Never Knew Make Your PMS Worse

reminder yall can message me anytime if you’re stressed/feeling down/just need to talk or anything and I will listen and not judge! about anything!
I searched the tag 'PMS Help' into Tumblr and I read a post of yours from October last year about your horrible PMS. Mine is like yours and I was wondering if it still bothers you and what you ever did about it?
It does still bother me in that I get very bad cramps (once I was at work and had to keep scrunching up/stop walking or couldn’t stand up for the pain) and do have the occasional little outburst of anger or am more tearful. There are several options open to you such as going on the pill (I can’t because I have migranes so I’m too high-risk and not allowed) or taking anti-depressants (I tried them, but didn’t stay on them because of inorgasmia :/).I have to say it isn’t bothering me as much as it did. In March sort of time this year I was scanned because they thought I had an ovarian cyst, but it has since gone down so the cramps are apparently due to my coil (yippee since it is the only contraception I can really have - not allowed any oestrogen due to the migraines…).As for the emotions and the anger they haven’t really gone away, but I have learnt to deal with them better. My boyfriend being the kind and understanding soul he is generally gets snapped at the most/or I cry in front of him, but because it’s been happening for nearly 12 months now we cope with it a lot better and he knows that I just need to snap/cry and is good enough to let me. I do still stay home/avoid people when I know I’m feeling bad, but I generally don’t feel as frustrated as I did. So I have gotten better, either because the effects have lessened or I have learnt to cope with them by myself. But if it is bothering you and you can try the options I suggested above I would say they’re worth a go. The Pill solves most peoples issues with regards to fluctuating emotions, but my body just hates me so I can’t have it sadly! Also be kind to yourself when you have your period, try and keep track of it in a diary and when it's coming stock up on the hot chocolate and happy movies. I think it's really important to look after yourself as much as possible, and don't feel bad about your hormones giving you a crappy time!Best of luck to you x (If you ever want someone to talk to about this in the future feel free :))
