I've gone through with Crasher's face replacement!!
I was quite nervous about doing this, but I'm glad I ultimately did because she looks so much more like herself now ^v^
Like I mentioned in one of my previous posts, I also replaced her chestplate-like piece to make it a more accurate shape
(I also included 2 extra face pics since it's not that clear in the main before and after image)
If you're curious, there are progress photos under the cut:
Because I'm obsessed with clarifying things, I will note what's happening in the third picture:
I wanted to sew Crasher's nose to her face before I started disassembling her, but it's kinda hard to do that when the fabric is just loose without stuffing so I pinned the face to the side of one of my other plushies and shoved some polyfill behind it in order to give it a decent surface to sit against (thank you for your assistance, Jester)
Yet another additional thing, here's a bonus pic from before the face replacement that I thought was funny

I decided to replace the stuffing in my Fitor and Cy-Kill plushies
Their polyfill was getting kinda matted and lumpy, plus I'd understuffed them a little to begin with (mostly because the polyfill I'd used for them wasn't nearly as good as the stuff I have now) so I figured it might be time to freshen them up a little
(Fitor does not get a Before picture unfortunately because it didn't occur to me to take one until I was halfway through the process TvT)
Bonus progress pics below the cut if you're interested:
Some stages of this process looked a bit goofy at times hghgkj
Also, idk how clear it is but in the third pic I tried to capture the stark difference between the exposed fleece and the fleece that had been sealed away

Recently got inspired to recreate @galaxyforu's take on the "me my boyfriend and his $500 4 foot tall mareep" meme
Said take on that meme features under the cut of this post
(Yeah yeah, I know that post is like a year and a half old... sometimes the brain worms get a little wigglier than normal and I feel compelled to look through a bunch of old GoBots stuff -- IS THAT SO WRONG??? /silly)
Also, there be bonuses under the cut:
Unedited version of the photo above
(bonuses was a bit of a lie, I just don't feel like rewording the sentence now lolll)
I've been considering changing the face on my Crasher plush
(new face mock-up on the left, original face on the right)
I'll be honest... I was never 100% satisfied with the final face I made, I just kinda rolled with it bc it was the best I could do at the time ^^"
This new face design is a lot closer to the vision I initially had and feels more "Crasher" than the face I ended up giving her
I think my plan (whenever I actually start this) is to make an entirely new face separately and see if I like it before I commit to actually taking her apart -
It'd probably be more material efficient to just replace her eyes since that's pretty much all I'm changing, but I wanna make damn well sure I'm happy with my work before I've got a halfway taken apart Crasher sitting in my room
(I'll probably replace her chestplate-like piece while I'm at it, because in the templates I didn't really account for the fact that it wouldn't be sitting on a completely flat surface which left it with a weird little dip around where her waist attaches to her upper body)
Scorp plush progress:
I've done a bit of prototyping over the last few weeks/months, and tonight I finally got a start on doing the patterns for the final product!
(as shown in the second picture, Cy-Kill is here to assist with scale management)
It probably would've been smarter to do a little more prototyping... but the procrastination's been chewing this project up and I've been getting impatient with it, so I decided to just have a go at the final templates and adjust later if needed ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
