Merry Christmas (Yule season, Hanukkah, or any other holiday celebrated) to all! :)
Here! Have a jam recipe to celebrate!

This can be used for any other jam too! And with the grams used, simply double them, half them - do as you please! :)
800g plum (or whichever fruit of choice)
400g sugar (more or less - depends on your taste!)
4 tbsp water
Splash of lemon juice, or two - I just pour a circle in the pot :)
Utensils needed:
- A pot
- A wooden spoon
- Weighing scales
Now!
Pre-cooking: place a plate in the freezer!
1. Wash and cut your fruit, take out any stones.
2. Place your fruit and 4 tbsp water in your pot on high heat, crush the fruit up a little bit if you want.
3. Wait for the water to turn to whichever colour of your fruit and the fruit to soften quite a lot, but still staying together.
4. Pour in half your sugar, stir it in, and then pour in the other half, and stir that in.
5. Then the lemon juice.
6. If not already bubbling, bring the jam to a bubble (can boil, but I like my jam to cook slightly slower).
7. Now once the fruit mixture/jam starts to sort of clump on the back of your spoon, and it starts to seem a little thicker, get the cold plate out of the freezer and place a little bit of jam on it. Making sure it isn’t too hot to touch, run a finger through the jam, if the jam doesn’t automatically cover the line you make back up, and you can see the plate for a good amount of time (a light layer of jam with eventually cover the line back up, so don’t worry), it’s ready! If the jam automatically covers the line you make, it’s not ready - keep boiling! :)
8. Once the jam is done, make sure your jar(s) (and their lids!) are sterilised and pour the jam in!
And there! Wow, jam! :)
Play around with different fruits (especially in season fruits) and you’ll make something great! :)
