This recipe is a tasty take on the classic iced tea. It combines the sweet smokey taste of grilled peaches with the cool taste of tea. Great for a summer barbecue or a calm afternoon.
Ingredients: 4 ripe peaches, halved and pitted. 4 cups water. 4 tea bags black or green tea. 1/2 cup honey. 1 lemon, sliced. Ice cubes. Fresh mint leaves for garnish.
Instructions: Warm up the grill over medium-high heat. Put the peach halves on the grill with the cut side down. Cook for three to four minutes, or until char marks show up. Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a saucepan. Take it off the heat and add the tea bags. For five minutes, let it steep. Take out the tea bags and mix in the honey until it's all mixed in. Put the grilled peaches in a pitcher and use a spoon to break up the fruit so that the juices can come out. Pour the tea over the peaches that have been grilled in the pitcher. Put in the fridge with the lemon slices until it's cold. Put it on ice cubes and top it off with fresh mint leaves. Grilled Peach Iced Tea is a great way to cool off.
