During the time LBH is gone, Ming Fan decodes english to the point of being able to very brokenly hold a conversation if you cut him some slack during it by listening to SY and SQH talk and watching them write when meeting.
So, later, TLJ overhears SQH and SY talking in english.
He’s ofc immediately intrigued because he’s a curious lil guy and he needs enrichment, and oh hey! Here’s a whole language he’s never even heard about!
