Thanks for the tag @whyamismall! Apparently my sleep deprivation kept me from doing this correctly the first time, so I'm making a fresh post.

Hopefully delving back into my WIPs that have been collecting dust will inspire me to bang out the rest of one of these shorter fics asap, as I've shelved all of them in favor of my long fic, which has backfired as far as writing self-confidence goes, and evidently that is a productivity killer when your life is on fire.
Finishing anything in the next few months would be VERY NEAT.

I’m not someone who generally puts a lot of faith in calling or writing to US representatives, but maybe I’m wrong. Maybe it could shift things even a little.
It seems frighteningly undeniable that we are bearing witness to a genocide. And I honestly don’t know what to do. I’m not going to pretend I know what is most effective, or what is most noble, or what is most correct. I’m trying to listen, and I’m trying to not let my ignorance become an excuse to do nothing at all. Because I think one doesn’t need to know much to know what cruelty looks like.
To that end I’m sharing what has been shared with me by people who I trust. Because maybe we can do a little. Maybe we can save some. I don’t think it’s enough. I do think we have to try.
