The unwillingness on one side to look at the bigger picture and see the fact that BOTH were at fault is honestly ridiculous. Both made questionable moves on track, but it's the way they handled it after that speaks VOLUMES. Lando dragging their friendship into the conversation, and fully pinning the blame on Max. While Max wants to talk, but once everything is cooled down. And when being asked the same question "if they plan to chat after their collision". Max's answer is the same - after they cool off, while Lando is quick to blame Max once again. Like, hello? This isn't kindergarten, i don't think your friendship should lie on your performance and what's happening in your career. If you cannot differentiate a friendship on and off track, then I'm sorry, but that's no one's problem but your own.
Talking to Canal+ that Max should not have defended as hard because he is ahead in the championship battle....? This is racing, this is a competitive sport. No one's going to let you by without putting up a fight. If that's some people's expectations, well I'm sorry to say, but you don't understand how it works on the deep end.
I think Lando has failed to understand what it's like to fight against Max, and just because they're friends, it doesn't automatically mean that he'd get a free pass on track. If he wants to win, he has to put up a fight and understand that Max will fight anyone the same way. The track, during the race, isn't the time to be buddies, you're competing against each other for the win.
Both were wrong, I'm not here to hate or tell you one is right, but the way it was handled after really shows you why Max is a 3 time world champion. I might not like Lando, but I think he has some talent in him, the faster he understands what it's like to be in front, the better.
