The sibling duo featured in the American cartoon series "Gravity Falls", alongside the UK's public broadcaster "BBC Three", which aired its Eastern Feed first on Disney XD at 7pm, and then again later in Oregon's hometown during the same timeslot for the viewers in Pacific U.S. as a tape-delayed primetime broadcast.

Simultaneously at 10:25pm Eastern & 7:25pm Pacific, the final UK broadcast on BBC Three was the last rerun of "Gavin & Stacey", immediately after announcing a now-former CBS's The Late Late Show named 'James Kimberley Corden', hours after the final 2nd Season of "Gravity Falls". Both events occurred on the same Monday night, which has been dubbed the crossover event called "Gravity 3".

In a series finale episode 'Weirdmageddon 3: Take Back the Falls', opens with a mystery in the neck of the woods, and closes out with the half-day bus ride home, down the south of Piedmont in California. A localized apocalypse, which almost undid reality. It was nearly a ghost town of Gravity Falls. Ancient magic was technically useless, but a high-risk of gamble.

'Stanley Pines' persuaded the interdimensional dream demon 'Bill Cipher' to enter his own mind, enabling his twin brother 'Stanford Filbrick Pines' (also known as "Ford" in short, not to be confused with a car manufacturer bearing the same name) to wipe all their memories and thereby eliminate the threat at the price of a lifetime of experience. Although Stanley is on the way to recovery, the "Never Mind All That" Act has already been enacted into law and is signed by Gravity Falls' mayor 'Tyler Cutebiker' to make things get back to their weird and bizarre form of normal.

Despite industry speculation of a cancellation after Season 2, which is the final season… Show creator 'Alexander Robert Hirsch' asserts that it was an intentional separation from its complicated issues of Disney's Standard & Practices team, and that there are stories that are better left as part of a finite, beloved memory as opposed to a reloop. As the sun goes down when the American summer comes to a close, the Mystery Shack starts a new life of management with 'Soos Alzamirano Ramirez'. The mystery twins 'Dipper' and 'Mabel Pines', now officially at 27 y/o by late-August 2026, have both formally boarded the bus transport back to California with a simple, handwritten promise by the townspeople: "See you next summer".

Corden stated, before the last programme: "BBC Three has been a huge part of my life and career, it took a chance on me [James Corden], Ruth Jones, and this little show that we wrote. And for that chance, I am so many writers and directors [who] will always be grateful. I wish BBC Three all the best with your big move online, I can't wait to see what you'll be showing in the future. For the [very] last time ever on BBC Three television, this is Gavin & Stacy", he concluded.

And about 35 minutes later, station 'BBC Three' goes dark on television and is streamed across the UK after shifting to online only at 11pm Eastern U.S. time. Six (6) years later on Tuesday night (February 1st, 2022), it was relaunched on television in the context of the global Chinese pandemic. Today, BBC Three airs every night of the week, following the end of CBBC's late afternoon broadcasts. The first program of its relaunch features a simulcast of 'BBC Radio 1' to honor the return of this UK public broadcaster and to join in the festivities on television. While its initial relaunch aimed to reach underserved younger viewers who still used traditional TV at night, the channel's strategy has shifted to prioritize digital-first content and strategic partnerships to compete with video-sharing platforms.

The "Gravity 3" event marked a bittersweet moment as they were saying their goodbyes to favorite programming on both sides of the Atlantic. One was an imaginative closing and the other a maneuvering turning point, but both were the termination of an era. Broadcasting in the digital age is emphasized by synchronicity. When the bus left in California taking its Mystery Twins, and station 'BBC Three' went into darkness, both countries were reminded that all tales must ultimately conclude, although, as history had shown, some could be reopened.
