So there's this really interesting game/website my public health teacher showed us: playspent.org Basically you're given the challenge to survive off $1,000 for one month (30 days), by picking and choosing either-or situations. (for example one of the situations I got was: pay for your phone bill, car insurance, both, or neither?) While my teacher claimed to have never made it past day 15, I managed to survive the entire 30 days with $85 leftover. It was very difficult and I had to make many sacrifices, but it's entirely possible- but not a great way to live. It's just scary to see that this is reality for some people and how hard it is for them to live like that.
