My bad... I just found out that Trent Grisham left for paternity leave today until Monday. Silly me. I'm leaving this rant up because it will still apply and has applied to Aaron Boone's bad decision making. It will be relevant by Monday or Tuesday, I'm sure. It's like a check that's been post dated. Please don't cash this rant until next week!! 🤣🤣🤣
Brief disgusted rant about Boone's bad decisions...
He took Trent Grisham out of the starting lineup and put Reyes in instead. That's like taking Aaron Judge out of the lineup. Grisham is a major factor in why we win games, both offensively and defensively. WTF, Boone? I'm not going to disparage Reyes, but I will say that he hasn't played much, and he is not even close to Grisham in ability and positive impact on the score. Aaron Boone makes hideous decisions soooooo much of the time. It's exhausting and demoralizing to watch. When a player does well, Boone tends to take him out of the game, and he leaves pitchers in when they can't pitch. I don't get it, and I don't like it. Buy a clue, Boone. PLEASE 🙏🏼 Unbelievable....
I have faith in my boys to win even when their manager seems to be working against them.
Let's go, Yankees!!!!!
Update to rant...
We really, really need Trent Grisham in the outfield!! Dominguez chose to let the ball hop before catching it. Man on first... Bellinger and Reyes couldn't get to a pop fly and played it off of the wall. Man on first and man on third... Ramirez steps up to the plate... He's in the top 5 of most everything.... the pitch... 3 run home run... then, another home run... 4-0, Cleveland.... Dominguez should've run forward and across and caught the fly ball... if Grisham was in center field, he would've caught the ball... that would've meant that Ramirez would've scored one run... If you take Grisham out of the starting lineup, you need Judge to play right field and Bellinger to play center to make it effective. If you want to play the less experiences players, you keep Grisham in the starting lineup so he can compensate for their lack of experience. We have five players in today's starting lineup who are batting under .200. Reyes is barely over .100. That means we need Grisham because he's batting just under Judge in the high 300s. None of this is hard to figure out. I don't need computer printouts to tell me this. My question is, why doesn't Boone know any of this, and why doesn't someone point this out to him. I don't get it. It's common sense, but then again, common sense isn't that common, is it? Let's go Yankees!!!!!
I have a novel idea!! 💡 💡 💡 Put Grisham in now. Please... This game has been done from the start because Boone can't make a good starting lineup consistently. We need a new manager desperately. I'll work for free. Just saying...
