Somehow bakugo sees you (he always checks that you leave safely from his driveway) and he instantly rushes to your car. Tapping on the window, his look of concern makes more tears well up.

“What’s wrong? What happened? Is your mom ok?” Millions of thoughts and situations rush through his mind, with even more thoughts and situations on how to console you for anything you are about to tell him.

“H-He-“ still crying, you know you don’t look or sound your best right now because bakugou’s concerned face shifts into a ‘jesus christ who do i have to kill’ face. “Your kid is so mean.”

“My kid?”

“Yes your kid! He’s so mean!”

“What did my kid say?”

“Your kid said that he wished I wasn’t his mom and would prefer your fuck ass secretary to be his mom! What is happening over here that he would rather your secretary be his mom? Are you and her-“

“No.” He stops you mid ramble. Which he knows not to do, he normally would let you say anything when you get like this. He believes it’s better for you to say everything you’re thinking, but not this. Never this.

“I have no idea where he got that idea from. Last time he was here we had to go to my agency a few times, maybe for like a couple hours a day. He might’ve hung out with her while I finished paperwork, but I never, would never, get with her. She’s never been to the house. I don’t do breaks with her. I don’t go out with anyone unless it’s the team bonding things or whatever. But no. I never told him I’m with someone or looking to be with someone. I don’t-“

Now he’s rambling, but it’s reassuring nonetheless. Your tears are mostly dried, just pretty wet eyelashes staring up at him.

“Ok,” you say while nodding your head.

“Ok?”

“Ok. I’m not- like it’s ok if you want to be with someone else-“

“I don’t,”

“You dont, but if you did-“

“I don’t.”

“Ok you don’t. It’s just- it’s frustrating and saddening to hear him say that he doesn’t want me to be his mom. That he wants to replace me. Like, replace me with someone he thinks you’re with.”

He nods along to what you’re saying, “I agree. I’d be devastated if he wanted to replace me with someone you are with,”

“Im not…with anyone,”

“You’re not?”
