It’s Sephiroth!!!!

• He has felt at several points in their friendship that he is a “burden” to Zack, much to the reassurance of the other <33

• Contrary to popular belief, Sephiroth was the first to utter these words, actually murmuring into Zack’s shoulder (mid-embrace) that he’s the best friend he ever had <3 Zack had called Seph his “bud” countless times, but never wanted to push boundaries by making Seph feel like he had to reciprocate the sentiment—leading to him never directly calling Seph his best friend. After this, however, Zack assures Seph almost every day that he loves his bud just as much… if not even more <333

The are long time friends who don't even need to speak to communicate. They just make facial movements and eye contact and that's the conversation.

Bomba always knows when Munk has over exerted himself. Even before her own sister, and will always do the silent communication thing she knows he will never admit it. She'll even go as far as to give him the death stare until he gives in.

Munk, on the other hand, can tell when Bomba is in a terrible mood and will simply sit next to her in complete silence until she feels comfortable. Usually she's in a mood for a reason (I can't name a reason right now) and will be that way until she wants to tell anyone. But Munk will sit there as she calms down and regains her ability to form words.

Was there anything more pure than a child's laughter? Pure, unbridled laughter that came from someone who genuinely felt joy from the tip of their toes to the top of their heads? Not a lot. But oh the little segment laughed so happily he didn't suffer.

It was rare, the segments getting along. But when they did, it was... well an odd thing to say the least.

It was hard to ignore the happy laughter between the older segment and younger, laughing among themselves out in the field while fully knowing the atrocities both of them did.

The blood they spilled, the people they've slained.

"Even the little one?"

"Especially him."

But as Web got tired and placed the little one down, 8 kept giggling, twirling a bit on his toes. "Again, again, again!"

"You're... you're getting heavy to carry kiddo."

"Don't care! Spin me again!"

Flick! That's all 8 received. Was it painful? No, absolutely not. Did it annoy him? Abso fucking lutely. He hated the older segment for it. The teen standing smug over him just because he could reach the top of the shelf without help.

He might be Zandik but he was... a child. Like any child, his feelings were hard to describe at times, especially as someone who hasn't experienced life like the others. The youngest segment might be near death, might even produce it himself. But he never knows how to deal with it when it comes knocking at his door.

Upon hearing La Signora, Rosalyne died, he acted out. Throwing priceless heirlooms like one would with trash. Carelessly, angrily, and with venom to anyone who came by.

Only when his rage gave out did he seek the angel in his life. His dear, dear sister Columbina for comfort.

His tears were angry. Hot like the flames Rosalyne used to produce for him. They burned against his cheek as he held his sister, muttering with hate "Why?! Why did she let herself die!" But even Eight knew... She didn't want to die either.

The strongest lived, the weak died. Eight would if he wasn't useful for Prime. That reminder upset him.

The little segment cried and cried until he cried himself to sleep. Completely burnt himself out on his anger, much like the dear Rosalyne was. But oh Columbina, the gracious Moon Goddess she is. She makes sure he's comfortable on her bed, placing a warm blanket on his little form.

"I'm ba-ACK!" Before Sampo could even step out of the starskiff, he was being lifted up! Spun around by the General of Luofu! And so shamelessly! The man nuzzled into his chest, laughing with joy that his dear Fool was back.

It was a bit contagious. After the initial shock wore off, the thief also began to laugh. His hands buried themselves in the General's luscious mane to ruffle his hair playfully. "I-I missed you too bud! But at least let me touch the ground properly before picking me up like a ragdoll!"

Kaveh stirs for a moment, it seems like he had fallen asleep while Reader was explaining some of the epic tales of their homeland. "Apologies," he said, rubbing his eyes of the sleep that had accumulated. "My project has been keeping me up these past few nights. Your stories are very enlightening."

But of course his dear friend would have none of it. Instead Reader pushed him back to bed, tucking the architect back in his bed.

Sampo smiles, a hand coming to the back of his head to scratch at his hair. It truly was an unlikely friendship. A General and a thief. Much less a Masked Fool. But they made it a point to keep finding each other. To defend one another.

Their love was just as deep as the ones they had for their children, their country men. And at least in the Fool's case, as his lover.
