because it is a crime that they're are so few rewrites of the LN 6 prologue, i give to you the latest fic i wrote in a delusional fugue state after the idea sat in the rock tumbler in my brain for a good couple weeks. Jinshi and Basen use the other to practice kissing with think of the girl they would much rather be kissing...
idk what i did with this one but it was something, and there will probably be more of these at some point because a discord discussion cause me to use the phrase 'practice boy toy basen' and that has plagued this idea since i said it
Their tongues danced not unlike their swords when they met, with a similar intensity to train. Firm tensions neither man had mastered but endeavoured to better, spurred on by the noises of the other and the feeling of them pressed tight together. Legs slotted together with the evidence that of the warmth that burned inside of them both, sending blood rushing through their bodies and blocking out any amount of reason.
Fantasy’s playing in their minds of who they really wanted in their arms, who they really wanted to taste. The harsh bitterness Jinshi wished to drink of Maomao, perhaps the sweetness of poisons, as she had noted they often disguise themselves with such pretty flavours and scents. Basen wondering if Lishu would taste every bit as sweet and pure as she seemed, like the flower given to her title, would she smell more of lilies than the jasmine he smelled now.
Each man wishing the noises swallowed, noises heard, were of their beloveds, that were not theirs. Lishu married to another, married to heaven, and Maomao entirely uncaring of Jinshi’s rank or status, preferring poisons and medicine.
If the fantasy of their unrequited, unobtainable seeming loves could be managed in using the other as a stand in under the guise of practice, then what was truly the harm? It was not as if this did not feel good, pressed against each other, enjoyment evident and prodding each other’s thighs. Not enough to break the pull of their want for what was not theirs, even if it should have been too real a reminder.
