Why do you ask?

it’s been one year and so many people - journalists, teachers, well-meaning authority figures - still talk about COVID safety measures as if it’s something about you. As if it’s all a matter of how you are putting yourself at risk, and not indirectly murdering someone’s grandmother, someone’s asthmatic cousin, someone’s immunodeficient friend, your barista’s dorm’s night porter, the au pair of your uber driver’s next passenger, etc. There are QAnoners/Bolsominions and there are the exploited workers, but there also are the criminally clueless and/or lazy. It really fucks me up how some of these past year’s killers will never know the bodycount of their whims.

Got some cool new respirators from WellBefore. Normally the shipping cost to the UK isn't worth it, but they had a great mix-and-match deal, so I forked out. More detailed review to follow.

(I know she can't have been the only one, but that doesn't make it any less fucked up to hear.)

Actually, that last one seems likely; I did just watch several minutes of looped footage of Renee Good being shot through her car window. Okay, mystery probably solved.

also the plague docs do a good job! better than we're doing. usually only see a mild plague every 50-100 years.
